Just resubbed to check out the new patch. I can’t think of a single positive aspect of this expansion.
Story - Extremely boring. Couldn’t care less what happens.
Gameplay - Inferior to previous iterations.
Features - Warfronts: Boring; Islands: Boring; Azerite: Boring.
I honestly do believe this is worse than WoD simply because WoD at least had an intriguing concept. The war in BfA is really bland.
It will require an amazing last couple patches to save this for me.

Do what I do and duel outside Org…
Oh wait you can’t because sharding messed everything up…
And here I am on the way out. You should not have resubbed.
Story’s bad, Hearthstone’s nerfed Jaina’s cleavage (it was, apparently, such a big matter it required a patch), classes are busted, and the world quests make me want to impale my own eyes, looking for anything that may be an “upgrade”. Btw - everything is my worst in slot, but higher ilevel, so my DPS goes down in the attempt to find a guild on my Shaman on Alliance. :V

Well I hadn’t played since launch.
This will sound strange if you are primarily Horde (like I am): make an Alliance character (if you don’t have a DH on that server, I recommend a DH).
The Alliance story line is actually halfway interesting this expansion. I’m just in Drustvar so far and I’m liking the story. It has the feel of Nazmir, but it’s not the same story.

I play both factions to see all of the story. I actually prefer the horde slightly just because of the forsaken focus.
They’ve really been having the forsaken sit on their hands this expansion. Intentionally leaving Sylvannas’s intentions a mystery works to build suspsense only works for a few months, at this point not knowing why we’re doing what we’re doing feels annoying and pointless. Alliance has way more interesting things going on.
On the horde side it’s just playing storm trooper and fugitive, grim as hell.

The story got a bad start that’s the problem. It was ho hum, forced, which reflects on the rest of the story. There’s no real reason to have this war. There was no buildup to why the horde did what they did, no false flag sending them into a rage.
It’s just here. Here it is. Even if there’s a big Scooby Doo mask pulling off villain reveal, the question still remains, but why.
I fully expect when N’zoth is questioned about this, there will be a pause…
“Do you not all have phones?”

They designed an entire raid around killing horde leader and city. 2 in a row but 1 wasnt a raid just scenario. No payback nor revenge, what good is the horde if they dont fight back. Until the alliance always win story goes away I wont be back.

Thats the problem with Bfa storytelling you have to read the books to get the full context…imo that is asinine…
And makes the story hard to follow…I mean as an alliance player my thoughts was why in the hell we in uldar raid…under root made no sense.
The writers are just lazy…to bad they could not pull it off like the art team did… only ones that deserve a raise in BfA

Title: “Super weak story in BFA”
Why is that?
This explains it?
The war is too at the forefront of the plot and it seems meaningless. The “old God behind the scenes pulling strings” has been done before and done much better. I found the Sha and Mantid in MoP more interesting than G’huun and sethrak/etc. in BfA.
For me the story is one of the most interesting there’s ever been

Uh what? The writing in WoD was absolutely god awful and just made a mess of the lore.
So? Draenor, draenei, orcs, legion > Random maritime humans and most of the other stuff in BfA.
I don’t find corrupted bad guys all that interesting.
At least in this expansion we’re having a conflict that brings others into the fold and gives them good development.
So? You said you care about story and now you don’t care about the story? WoD had an awful story, the main villains, the Iron Horde, were not threatening as we just went in and slapped them silly with minimal effort.
And on top of that there is still confusion over things related to AU versions of things that previously existed. While I guess it was cool to see Draenor before it became Outland, it came at the cost of making things extremely convoluted due to crossed timelines.
