This means no items will ever be rare if they are grindable.
If the grind is so horrible that nobody does it to keep the item rare this feeds directly into one of the biggest complaints of the game.
Unless you want no items to ever be rare your idea won’t work.

They aren’t grindable at all right now, though. You have two opportunities per week to loot one - your vault, and the actual boss kill. I did cite there obviously needs to be some opportunity cost, as well.
By design a lot of guilds who farm the encounters will never see them… which is a little bit stupid, yeah.
Yea man, the super low drop rate fire damage ring is great
I love having to wear a 389 ring cuz nothing does more damage than it except for the fire ring

I will forever be salty in that one raid we were in where someone’s alt got the ring.
Glad you didn’t waste your time grinding since they’re making rings obsolete with the new 10.0.7 ring.
did YOU know that in the world of warcraft for nearly twenty years now we’ve had TWO entire ring slots yes that’s 1+1! and two more than zero!
There’s already a BIS ring from the raid. BIS raid ring + 10.0.7 ring = 2 rings, no need for crafted rings.

That depends, I think. They made it clear they don’t want it to be good beyond this tier, so they can’t be tuned too strong.
They say that, but edge of night was bis in SFO. Same with old warriors soul. They will have to nerf this ring to make it not good next tier from what I’ve seen about it.
Doesn’t really matter anyway, you’re still going to need an Eranog ring… I’m dead inside knowing the only upgrades left from raid are Catalyst-infused pants from Raszageth and then “Super Rare” drops…
