Nintendo announced Super Nintendo World in Japan. If it is successful it makes me wonder if Blizzard world could become a real possibility? I know if they opened Blizzard World I’d be going without question.
If they didn’t do it at the height of Blizz’s popularity, they sure as hell aren’t doing it now.
Quick! If you buy your entry ticket before the park opens, you can get a free costume*
*costume can be obtained by everyone else anyways
I think there were many other factors in that regard. As far as I know no one had ever made a theme park based on video games (although I think Nintendo’s is technically part of Universal Studios’ theme park). For Blizzard to make such I huge investment they’d want to know if it would be successful first. And with no info to go off of I’m sure the idea, if it was ever discussed, was sidelined until they knew they’d get their money’s worth.
Did someone pee in your corn flakes this morning?
I’m under the age of 70, so I don’t eat corn flakes. Gross
Blizzard World exists as a map in Overwatch.
There’s also going to be a super nintendo world in Universal Studios new park in Orlando (Epic Universe)
They have a concept art of the new park and it looks like it’s going to be Hype. Blizzard! Get your act together and build a theme park in Orlando - Diablo haunted houses, Starcraft roller coasters, Warcraft interactive stuff, Overwatch toys and merchandise!
Really? I never would have guessed. All those times assaulting or defending that map when I played OW and I didn’t realize it was there.
Sorry, just giving you a hard time. I knew that and it’s what made me think to make this post.
It’s 2020, probably fortnite or league of legends world now.
Corn flakes are a generational thing now? I really am out of touch.
Btw, corn flakes were invented because Kellogg’s psycho religio-doctor brother thought they were so boring, they’d prevent the youth from … relieving themselves. Not even exaggerating.

Well gotta consider that Nintendo games are far more popular than Blizzard ones
I don’t think blizzard has been a big enough company at any point in its history to open up a theme park like that.
Things like Disney world and Super Nintendo world Can work because those companies are massive. Blizzard, while large is no where close to their levels.
Heck, I don’t think Sony could pull it off either for the same reason Sony’s attempt at a smash bros game flopped. While they’re the more successful console right now, Nintendo’s brands are just way more iconic.
They already had a WoW amusement park somewhere back in like Wrath and Cata I think…
I cant remember which country it was in though.
Wasn’t that in China?
And didn’t it also fail despite completely ignoring the copyright laws it was breaking?
Honestly I don’t remember. Im sure it was unlicensed because it was never mentioned by Blizzard.
Came here to see if anybody else remembered this or if it was just another fever dream. The pictures of that place were wild, lemme see if I can find them.

There we go. Looks completely safe.
But wait, there’s more!

For $30 entry fee I would hit this up, not gonna lie.
Nintendo is a lot different than Blizzard in this regard. Their brand is much more akin to Disney and as such the appeal stretches far beyond a very specific demographic.
Case in point my 4 year old knew who Mario was and loved all the characters and has yet to give a single care about any Blizzard character he sees.
Kids = Parents = money, there’s a reason why Disney has become so successful at it, you go to Disneyland and they even have toilets, urinals and sinks etc at the height for children so they don’t feel excluded. That’s some strategic marketing there if I ever saw one.
Blizzard doesn’t really have that kind of reach.
They are still crunchy and tasty though.
Never was big on sweet cereal.
What about cheerios? They’re cool still with the kids today right?
