I play sometimes but not much, logging in every few days for an hour or so keeps me satisfied until TBC drops, then i’ll probably play every day. Still havnt logged onto retail though since classic launched.

Yeah, no.
The number of addon downloads is higher on retail right now.
The number of logs being uploaded is significantly higher.
Every verifiable way of quantifying the active playerbase will show you that retail has more players at the moment.

Still playing about 40 hours/week. Love it. Splitting time now between raiding on my main and leveling an alt (currently level 49).

You didn’t miss much. Just mountains of alliance salt because of P2. Then blizz released bg’s early because of alliance whining.
Then alliance exploited the queue system. Opening up a bunch of games they left as Horde auto wins because they started 10v40. Lol.
Premades didn’t care because they were avoiding pvp and winning 7 min pve races in AV for pvp gear.
Then Horde woke up. Flexed the Mighty Horde D and they haven’t won many since. Cried a lot about pvp happening in a bg. Cried about turtles. Cried cause Horde wouldn’t just lose.
Blizz broke their little queue exploit because their pugs were getting shafted with auto loss handicapped matches.
Now they are dodging premades in WSG and the lazy afk honor rankers have been crying about broken, bot filled, AFKAV ever since.
