Sunlight Sword has been an absolute blast to play with

sounds like shaman did just get nerfed though with the t3 2p change, but yes, i like to try and stay on the thread topic

Fun detected fun deleted.

The reason is simple, shamans can’t use it

I generally agree with what you’re saying about PvP issues however I have to remind you that PvP in SoD is practically non-existant outside of the 1-2 queues of AB and a handful of Wpvp that most people are un-prepared for since they’re likely running a PvE build than a dedicated PvP one.

Again, not saying I disagree with all your points but its just very moot when Blizz the developer just don’t care about SoD PvP anymore.

Definitely a Blizzard L

As far as I’m aware, anyone could use it. It’s not classified as a sword. Which is definitely janky, but yeah. Pretty sure that’s what lead to it not being able to be used with weapon skills.

Whenever there’s shockadin thread, 100% of the resistance is from people who complain while talking about PvP situations.

I play on PvE server and I wouldn’t care if the Shock and Awe rune made you unable to queue for BG’s. For me (and most of the people ive talked to about shockadin stuff) PvP isn’t even on the radar.

Sick of being gimped and nerfed because of something completely unrelated.

Fwiw, I think the sunlight build itself wasn’t really a stereotypical shockadin. I’d love for SP based weapons to be revisisted though, because thematically its really cool.

Ideal situation is something that gets Infusion rune viable for dps shockadin again, so we don’t need to run sheathe and play like exodins.

While a small and ever dying part of the game, pvp does still exist. You are correct though, my focus is way more pvp than pve (though i would still argue that Aurathiel being 2nd dps in their raid group as a healer spec should give some pause).

I wouldn’t have even known this was a thing if it hadn;t been for the degens outside New Avalon farming people nonstop on friday and saturday

All the current builds are str based so the healing amount is actually negligible. With the gear im currently running its completely pointless to heal, even though its holy ‘talents.’

I will concede that the int/sp builds from p5 were likely a lot more oppressive in PvP due to this. But there has to be a happy medium or some way to make it pve focused. In fact, just making the stats based around int instead of healing would work because Shock and Awe doesnt do healing power so the heals would still be lower with a focus on damage.

I get your pain (I’ve felt the same way in FPS games against certain broken classes/equipment) but shockadin in its current iteration is min damage and also cant function competently as a healer either.

There’s two runes to work with, and Sunlight has shown the potential for a third lever to be introduced with SP scaling weapons. I just feel like it deserves another look, and to at least try something.

how many shamans will we see with the legendary?

no one has more sp than shockadins, nor more attack boosts via seals, pallies could break 10k autos during cds, and even then it was only as good as other classes, no one else could actually use it, outside of some sort of meleeweaving caster, which is easily fixed with pally only tag

Ruining fun for the sake of “progression” is TERRIBLE game design.

Imagine putting in all that effort to beat Khonsu as a holy paladin just to have the shaman dev deleat your fun.
