Sunlight stealth nerf

Dear devs: as someone who played arms warrior from P1 to P4 I already hate you, but removing this functionality will make me shelve my shockadin again as it’s already pretty forgotten like arms. I apparently only pick specs that you drop.

Anyway, Sunlight scaling from holy damage actually made shockadin competitive again (but still less than my fury warrior, for instance) so why bother nerfing it? I told myself that after beating Khonsu 17 times on my warrior I’d never do it again but this sword made me do it and now I hate myself for doing it again.

why do i even play sod anymore shoulda rolled horde/shaman then i’d get everything all the time

yeah, i get nerfing it for other classes, but leave the holy sword to paladins please, we might do some decent damage prebis, but we cant even use the tier sets, just make a separate version thats pally only that still has the holy tag please

shockadin is the current strongest form of paladin. that sword was clearly broken. Good luck, may the light guide you.

The sword may not have been intended but now that the cat is out of the bag probably speaking I believe that we can make this into a healthy and fun play style. Keep the spell damage scaling but make it less than 100% and then make it a proper sword so that we can use our rotation and abilities. I think if we incorporate it this way we can find a healthy balance which does not tip too far in One Direction

You might be thinking of this from a PvP perspective… and I’ve seen you single-GCD way too many people for shock build to be the strongest. And in PvE it’s pretty weak, even with the sword it was just “good but not amazing” in PvE.

we talking before or after ret was nerfed? shockadin has been a problem since they got the zg pieces. ret was nerfed shockadin was not, a healer dps is stronger than the main dps in pvp and should not be a thing, imo

i would agree, but that would actually take dev time to implement, as if it actually scaled with any ability it would go nuts, it even doesn’t scale with martyrdom/command, they do noodle damage, you basically had to optimize attack speed and use as many strong offtier pieces as possible, which was sick because no one would ever use the damn things.

Corrected yes but not removed.

We are just asking if it wasnt intentional now that the cat is out of the bag make it a proper sword and reduce but keep the spell damage scaling.

it wasnt overtuned though, the sims had it at a decent level, it would be stronger in the first few weeks of scarlet due to it not being able to use tier, but then once everyone else gets tier they catch up very fast

it clearly wasnt intentional, the weapon has 14 damage, and doesnt say anything about scaling with spell power

It only functions as a healer for dungeons. IF you bring a Shockadin to “Heal” in Enclave to replace a Holy Paladin your tanks will be dead. Please by all that is holy, actually try new things to see their validity before you break your record with its broken.

Do you have that build link for us for PVE? We have been trying to make Shockadin work since they created the ZG set and we havent come close to Toping charts or making it even close to the middle of the pack. If it was overtooned we would be topping charts and this weapon let us be upper middle O.o

no i don’t, shockadin isnt the dps spec for paladin, ret is. Shockadin is a healer dps of which I do not believe should be a thing. having it be a meme back in wrath was fun, but having actual gear disigned for them to do damage makes no sense. this is a healer spec and healers should not be pumping out alot of damage

Therefore make it a thing.

Reduce the % make it a proprer sword etc to bring it in line and harmonize it. Correct it. Dont remove it.

yeah if players are having fun with something, and its not hurting others or outcompeting them, would really like it not to be nerfed

a healer dps, should not be a thing. how can we not agree on this? imagine resto druids being able to kill you easy, or a disc priest to kill you easy, shockadins should not be able to kill you easy, they are a healer spec

Then why did they make the ZG set. I’m confused, you said “shockadin is the current strongest form of paladin” but its a terrible healer and terrible DPS in raid so how are we the strongest?
