I got these Sunless Pants that says: Upgrade Level: Explorer 1/8 Wowhead is very vague on this. How do I upgrade these?

Take a look at this guide. You’ll be seeing a lot of gear with 8 levels of upgrades. Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, etc. That’s in order of how high an ilvl they’ll get when you invest your currency in them!

Upgrade NPC’s. One in the target dummy PvP quest area in valdraken, one in the central Dirt Gnome hut in Loam.

There’s also a quest that explains it a little in game if you just go thru the story

Yeah the mole folks explain the whole flightstone thing. Worry about upgrades later if you’re just doin’ the main quests. Have fun
