In a few months time, ToC will be on its way out and we will be on the doorsteps of Icecrown Citadel. This will likely lead into Titan Rune Gamma.

Currently we have Heroics, Titan Rune Alpha (Heroic+), and soon to be Titan Rune Beta (Heroic++). By the end of the year, Titan Rune Gamma preparations will be underway and as a community, we should think about calling it Heroic#.

# is just 4 plus signs in a 2x2 configuration. Yeah we’re skipping just 3 plus signs, but we won’t get a titan rune iteration after ICC.

I believe we can do it! No one wants to advertise for H+++, Hy, or H gamma. Lead the way with H# (H sharp)!

How about:

Heroic Alpha, Heroic Beta, and Heroic Gamma? H-A, H-B, and H-Y? Even if you had to type it all out, it isn’t nearly as bad as H+++ or what you’d have to type out to find a normal heroic dungeon, “H no Titan Rune” (could be H-0)?

I like the suggestion! It’ll be neat if it sticks.

I wonder if we’ll just call it H, H+, H+2, H+3, etc… but I guess we’ll see :woman_shrugging:

I think the more likely scenarios is that H+ just always means the latest or leaving it off assumes the latest.

For example, “LF1M H+ VH” will just be assumed as Beta (and gamma towards the end of the year)

If people can type out all the crap they wanna HR in raids and even dungeons, they can type out H++++

You could’ve stopped here, because people prefer Wrath PvP over Dungeons.

H0 (heroic)
H1 (alpha)
H2 (beta)
H3 (gamma)

But I do feel like that’s too simple and so I think we need to entertain options that are as complicated as possible, so as to confused the players.

Maybe we should identify them by the colour of the GS you’d normally go into them. So…

H Blue (heroic)
H Purple (alpha)
H Orange (beta)
H Pink? (gamma)

I think that’s subtle enough that nobody will understand what groups you’re advertising for, except those who do, and then we can feel smugly superior about that. The classic way!

I like this, very simple and easy to understand, and there is no confusion if a run is bog standard heroic, or titan rune alpha/beta/whatever.

Does Heroic# come with built-in garbage collection? Will they be managed dungeons?

We will 100% get Delta after ICC when RS is released. People seem to forget that ICC was not the final raid.

That’s not true. If it was, you’d see higher participation in PVP. People prefer classic raiding over wotlk dungeons. You only got to select one option in the poll. Its not multiple choice to show all the things you like about the game. Just what do you like most. And un-surprisingly, dungeons are not the favorite content of most people.

ICC was PART of the final raid tier. The last dungeon was just something to tide people over for the 12 or so months it took for cata to come out. It’s not “forgotten”, its just not getting its own phase.

The poll was which do you prefer, not an infographic showing which one is done more. More people are choosing PvP over Dungeons. More people chose “OTHER” over WotLK Dungeons.

Wrath dungeons are absolute garbage that were palatable with RDF spam.

I agree, I think we’re making the same argument.

Okay with this in mind, why do you want RDF, instead of something else. If you hate wrath dungeons, why do you want a system to facilitate said dungeons? Why not ask for alternatives to dungeons that accomplish the same goal?

I do not trust them to touch PvP, unless they just put in RBGs and remove twinks from lowbie games. Monitoring for bots is obviously way too much work for them. And I don’t trust them to put in other, new “catchup” mechanics like the absolute dog :poop: after H+. RDF is a system that’s from Wrath and should be very difficult to mess up, although I’m sure that Blizz would do their damn best to mess it up more than they already have.
