Sundancer Mount IS Achievable - FYI

So i am just doing random stuff and came across Sundance NPC flying around
JUST so everyone knows (because there was a level of frustration):

  1. You NEED Skystrider Glider - no other glider or just flying to the rare will let you mount
  2. You NEED to go to 60.05 93.93 on the Bastion map
  3. Get the Sunrider’s Blessing buff
  4. When close (I suggest above and heading for rare), pop the glider and mount Sundancer
  5. Keep hitting the soothe button until he/she lands
  6. You will get achieve but not mount
  7. Talk to dancer and fight until surrender
  8. Mount is in bag
  9. Did this less than 10 minutes ago so regardless of what you read, this is how to do it

It is a cool mount for collectors - I did it at work being bored :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t understand. Did people think it wasn’t doable? I got it back in shadowlands.

Am i thinking of the right mount? That unicorn in bastion, right?

Yes. there were some complaints here and they when i was looking it up but they are not doing correctly it appears.

I got it too during shadowlands. Just don’t ask me how because I cannot remember lol

Ah ok. Well good on you for clarifying it. Maybe folks had gotten the misconception that they could skip some of the steps now because its lower level.

I know I saw the rare a few times in Shadowlands but I can’t remember if I ever actually made an attempt at it. I was not in a great mood during that expansion.

That SL xpack made me quit. Just came back for this one. Having a good time since release :wink:

Probably because it had a low chance to also award itself to others who tagged the rare after it landed. A lot of people got it that way during SL. It was the same with Hirukon in ZM.

Thank you. Forgot about this mount. Never got around to figuring out how to get the blessing.

I remember getting this in early Dragon Flight and being disappointed that he loses his glow as a mount.

would be nice if he would even spawn been sitting out here for 3 hours now no spawn

I have buff and glider, but clicking on him does nothing. I hammer it, it’s not the soothe part, I can’t even MOUNT him at all. So frustrating.

Ok you also have to be 60+ in levels, I was trying before that. FYI.
