I got the buff from the shrine, mounted sundancer but no extra action button appears. I eventually get kicked off and am unable to calm the rare.
same. have mounted 4 diff times and no prompt to calm.

well cant seem to find a way to contact support what so ever only be redirected to forums to try and report this but i disabled all add ons and have tried twice now mounting the horse with the correct buff and do not get any extra action button at all i simple get kicked off the horse.

I also had the same problem with the extra action button not showing up. I got on got the buff, got on sundancer 2x with no button to sooth. I disabled all my addons and restarted wow, and got on sundancer again and still no action button to sooth.

Same here. I’ve been trying for days. I get the buff, jump on Sundancer, no soothe action button appears.

I mounted him 6 times and wasted several goblin glider kites and no “Soothe” button appears. I also made a macro to target Sundancer and CMD /soothe, it says “I try to soothe Sundancer to calm her down,” but I still get kicked off.

I am also getting this issue. Has anyone been able to figure out what is causing the sooth button to not show up?
I also am having this same issue. No soothe button comes up.
You only get a soothe option if you use the Skystrider Glider. Any other way to get to Sundancer doesn’t allow you to interact to start the event. By design.

I used the Skystrider Glider and did not have the extra action button pop when I mounted Skydancer. Also got kicked off after a few seconds. Really frustrating.
You don’t mention that you picked up the mandatory buff before gliding out to start your rodeo run.

Still having the same issue. no button popping up, just an exit button
Unlock the Memorial Wine treasure. Buff from the memorial statue. You MUST use the Skystrider glider item from the auction house. Fly on top of the Sundancer. And fight it.
i also, get no action button, wasted several attempts/gold.
the soothe button only appear if u glide to Sundancer with Skystrider Glider that u get from Path of the Ascension.
U don’t need a glider other than Skystrider Glider.

I got the mount. Just make sure to apply the buff and then use the glider.
I was having a major issue with this as well. Turned off all my add-ons (since I wasn’t sure which may have been interfering) and worked like a charm. Used the glider and the Soothe button appeared. Just disable all your add-ons. Solo’d as a 66 Ret Paly with no issues.
I used the Skystrider and no soothe button also
