The first Tuesday of “Summer 2019” will be on June 25th, and the last Tuesday will be on September 17th. Somewhere in between, WoW Classic will launch.
Any theories on on which Tuesday it will be? Please provide data or evidence, tangible or not, to back up your claim.
I suspect it will launch on a Tuesday in August. Hear me out. The blue posts were adamant about being able to play this summer. It would be a cruel joke if they released in the last week or two of summer, leaving very little left of “summer” to play. So for this reason I believe September is too late. Also, June and beginning of July seems too early given that is only about 12 weeks away and the lid on Classic information is still clamped tight.
One thing for certain, it’s going up… on a Tuesday.
July 9th. They’ll do it just to mess with all the people who are convinced that they found July 16th in the presentation material.

June 16th would be better to be honest.
The end of the second business quarter is on June 30, so I would wage a guess that it will be somewhere around then.
July 23, it’s the only 23rd on a Tuesday this year aside from April 23rd.
There’s a lot more to it than just that tinfoil stuff.
8.2 is expected to release in early-mid june latest, conveniently releasing classic a month later meaning people will sub for 8.2 and then for classic
Classic summer means we’re gonna be playing during summer, so it can’t be at the end of it on september.
Start of Q3, so perfect window.
Release months of classic in mid july fit right in with what would be bfa content droughts, filling in gaps perfectly for Q3 and the start of Q4.
Normally I wouldn’t take the July 16 character thing seriously, but with all the things that fall in line with that date I’d be surprised if they weren’t aiming at that date and it’s just one of the things old blizz used to do a lot.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re aiming for it. But if I was Blizzard, and we were ready in time, I’d do it on July 9th just to mess with the people who are sure.
They also used to do that a lot too.

Some time in August. Blizzard has never launched an xpac between January and August and I expect they have good reasons for doing the same this time around.
I would be surprised if they released it at the end of summer. I don’t think that would qualify as a “Classic Summer” as they put it at one point.

You think blizzard cares what it’s called? It’s money.
My money is on august 13th or 20th.
That’s the middle of their retail development cycle. (Beta for Azeroth launched in between those dates last year, and they drop an expansion every 2 years)
If 8.2 lands in late june, that means that mid august is more than enough time for people to get bored and start dropping subs again.
I wager that launch til phase 6 is planned to take about 20 months for classic, with them planning TBC for a year after the next expansion.
