Besides WoW, what games have you been enjoying lately?
I have 52 clears in Hades, and that game is still fun as Hell.
I’ve been having a blast with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. It’s like a time machine to 1993, except I’m at the arcade and I have unlimited quarters!
Vampire: The Masquerade - Night Road is the best text-based game I’ve ever played and I’ve gone through it on 4 Ravnos, a Follower of Set, a Gangrel, and a Brujah.
But right now, I’m playing Tales of Arise. I’m only about a half-hour in, but the Tales games have always been among my favorites and this one is looking like it’s going to be a great one.
When these titles dry up, I’ll give Elden Ring a go and see what all the fuss is about.
What games do you have on your Summer of '22 Rotation?
I’ve still got Cyberpunk 2077 on my “to finish” list. I played quite a bit of it but then 9.3 came out and distracted me again. That and WoW will probably eat up all of my gaming time - any other free time is spent either playing or planning for D&D lol
I almost finished that game, but I got frustrated because I killed a sexual predator who it turns out I needed to spare to get augments I wanted in the future. So, I was frustrated, and a new patch came out, and now the game won’t run on my machine without crashing every 60-90 seconds.
Another +1 on TMNT but I haven’t had a chance to play it. A total blast in the past from the two beat 'em ups in the arcades. I also had Turtles in Time on SNES.
Always been a Mario Kart player and the retro DLC track packs coming out for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe makes me want to come back. It can be a grind trying to beat the ghost time trials to learn the courses before going online to race.
Might mess around with Street Fighter 5 since it is the only one I didn’t play in the series and get ready for Street Fighter 6 coming out next year. I have my sights set on Lucia to main who was brought in to the franchise and was from another past game I played Final Fight 3.
I was planning on getting back into Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands for the DLC class, but turns out its a shaman like class which is way too close to Clawbringer (think elemental paladin).
I got back into Guild Wars 2, which is fun to just come and go from, since there’s zero FOMO there.
Have they started to introduce DLC yet? I played like 3 playthroughs of it from launch, and then just played other ish and WoW.
Oh, this is really good. I admittedly got distracted by another game for a bit, and I think I stopped at like 3/4ths of the game.
Honestly, since we’re about to get Alpha tomorrow, aside from hoping to get in, I’ll just be watching Alpha streams and playing chill games like House Flipper.
Magic: The Gathering Arena - I’ve been having fun playing a mono black control deck. Also tinkering with other decks and formats than Standard. I’ve done fairly well for myself as a Free To Play player.
Mass Effect Platinum Edition - Been loving this one. Had been looking forward to it for quite some time. I recently finished Mass Effect 1 and just started Mass Effect 2.
On that note, if you’re into anime the second season of The Rising of the Shield Hero came out, and I believe season 4 of Overlord is about to drop or has dropped. Both are VERY good and very relatable for MMO players.
