Recent Theorycrafting has come under my eyes about Fury Warrior - Dual Wielding as a solid spec for both leveling and Tanking in the forthcoming Classic WoW.
Who, what player or site, has the highest regard as the leading authority on this notion? Is anyone testing this Theorycrafting in the Beta? Can anyone report any results?

yes you can fury/prot to tank/DPS as long as you have the gear to do it. No one can test this is beta because nobody is 60 in the beta.
It is the meta build/choice for tanks on private servers

its not really a theory… you take enough in Prot to get enhanced shield wall, then the rest you go into the fury tree and pick up the important stuff.
You ignore all the stuff that involve a shield in prot… just take the defense+ stuff.
as far as leveling… that all depends on how you’re going about it.
In my case (main tanking for a hardcore pre-established guild) Ill be meta duo leveling with a hunter or a priest during different sections of the content as Arms/Fury
Leveling is whatever, you can tank dungeons as full arms or fury spec… tanking 5 mans is no biggie… the raids is when you need to commit to prot

There’s not a lot of theorycrafting to be done for a level 30 character as far as the beta goes. It’s not a level we’re going to stay at for very long in actual Classic.
For leveling you generally don’t want to use dual wield because of the increased miss chance and the lack of +hit gear at the lower levels.
For max level dual wield tanking, as I understand it it’s a bit dependent on certain things from private servers working in Classic. Mostly consumable/buff stacking.
Damage numbers, buff stacking, and various other factors from private servers are likely incorrect. We shall see how the meta shakes out when we can test content at that level. For the time being i wouldnt get hyped up over theorycrafting from bad data
