I preordered WoW Dragonflight and was wanting to prepare for WotLK Classic on my level 60 hunter and it mentioned there was a clone available and that character(s) reside on the Faerlina realm, which is 99%+ Horde based
There’s a free realm transfer available and it’s for the Whitemane realm which is also 99%+ Horde based
I can’t enter the Faerlina realm to play, the button is grayed out, and the Shop is unavailable for clone treatment, which was already within Outlands anyway wielding the Gorehowl 2h axe
Why can’t the WoW team develop an API on the back end where if you haven’t played WoW in a long time say: "welcome back, we see you haven’t been here in a while, the realm population factions have changed, why not play on this highly populated Alliance based server with a free transfer?
Why can’t the WoW team make the realms Cross Server Realms and connect everything? Be it all blue Alliance population vs. all red Horde population, or Faerlina Horde vs. Pagle Alliance
There are private WoW servers (3rd party, not Blizzard Entertainment), that host every player on a single server regardless of faction desire, so why couldn’t the WoW team do this?
Prior to purchasing WoW: Dragonflight, I’d log into the game and it’d be a dead zone with nobody LFG Dungeon
World of Warcraft is a social dynamic massive MMORPG, the game is only so huge, and there’s nobody to play with
I’ve done the quest grind in vanilla TBC once and would prefer not to do it again, and then there’s of course the outdoor elite mobs that require a group as well
This gives off vibes of:
-
Making the customer having to pay for specific server, pay again when realm population factions change (per character mind you)
-
Making the customer feel that Blizzard Entertainment still hasn’t learned with character boosts, that when WotLK Classic launches, the highest populated Alliance looking servers will receive character boosts and can’t socialize in groups for outdoor elites and dungeons if they won’t pay the gold for it
-
The whole premise of that first clone was free, now just pay us for every character and split them up across realms
-
Being setup to take my wallet
I was born on the US East Skullcrusher realm in vanilla WoW and like all of my characters on one realm server
@Mike Ybarra
If you’re reading this, it doesn’t bode well from a customer to corporate business perspective
You’ve got this giant game with subscription numbers that could be going down, but would otherwise cause one to steer clear of what could come off as being (the WoW team) ill intent, not caring, and possibly being on design drugs
Alot of companies go under because of hidden fees, specifically in the mobile market where a child will burn through their grandma’s debit card on digital currency that people will sue over for not being outright up front with the customer
There’s purchasing the WoW: Dragonflight epic edition for $90, the first free clone, pay out more for advancing other clones, characters split across multiple realms and whatever else have you
But when I log into WoW Classic after a long hiatus, and see that the game is currently in the state that it’s in, I can’t even bring myself to reach further into my wallet
The realm faction population monopoly you guys have on character clones is just a gamble; if one wants to PvP, then choose an evenly balanced faction server, and if one wants to run dungeons then choose a higher 99%+ Alliance based server for the likelihood of finding more players to group with
Why can’t you guys just bring back the social dynamic into this massive MMORPG that is World of Warcraft? If you guys want me to pay this extra hidden premium fee(s) then earn it, but preferably stop caring so much about money, and more so about the customer
I’ve got all Alliance characters on one realm, but the game is only smart enough to recommend me a Horde realm, or just keep me on a Horde realm
You’ve got a massive game design and population flaw and you need to fix it, so we can all go into future Classic expansion packs without the boosties that have to pay gold to play and ruins all forms of socialism based on realm population
