Suggestion: Timewarped Badges Being Account Bound

I think the title is self-explanatory, because honestly, who has 5k timewarped badges saved up on any toon? :frowning: I want that hippogryph, dangit.

I mean if you have multiple alts you can basically just do one timewalking dungeon and do the quest for 500 badges and you can get lots of them. I think if they were account bound they’d nerf that quest

While the mounts aren’t account bound many of the items the vendor sells are account bound like the reputation items.

For this reason I don’t think the currency will be made that way.

Guess what, I did the math! Six toons, at 500 a month, and you can get all six mounts in 10 months. Six toons, at 500+5x35 (the amount you get from each dungeon) for the weekly, and you can get the toys and appearances in that same timeframe.

If you got more toons, it may take less time, or if you have time to grind out tens of dungeons per week.

:musical_note: i did the math
i did the monster math :musical_note:

EDIT:: if you get lucky to get the Call to Arms bags, you probably get it done even faster

Perhaps they could make a special system for mounts.

"You do not have enough Timewarped badges for this purchase, would you like to add some from a different character on your account?

Then a window would appear showing how many you have on other toons and you can add to the cost.

I do. I’ve run a lot of timewalking over the years and I always make sure when I buy something to buy it on the character which has the fewest badges. That way, one character winds up with a big stockpile.

It doesn’t hurt I am very consistent with which characters I play. My main has never changed since rolled in 11/2004, my healer alt has remained the same since BC started, and even my newest regular character has been played since mid-Legion. This keeps the majority of my badges on a relatively small number of characters.

The only reason I’ll say I don’t want them to become account bound is because WoW has no way to have them be account bound AND leave them in the currency tab. Currencies which take up bag space are super-annoying, even when they are account bound. I’ve still got to find SOME character with the bag space to hold them all. :frowning:

I absolutely needed to  this!!

My main is currently sitting on 5k, I’m waiting to see what the BfA TW mount ends up being.

As an alternative maybe they could do something like an account bound badge box that costs 100 badges but only grants 50 when opened? Effectively allowing you to transfer badges but at a steep loss?

…me? I have like 7k on Maizou.

I have like 80,000 across all my toons, I think you’d be looking at mounts for 30,000 instead of 5,000 if they made them account wide.

Alliance will get a Horse, Horde will get a bee, of course.

Alliance can have anything they want, as long as Horde get the brutosaur.

Yeah, I’d much rather keep the 500 per alt. Just today I’ve made and spend thousands on rep tokens for the Legion rep box rewards. I’d rather my grind not ge slowed down, lol.

I’ve gotten multiple mounts through timewalking, on multiple characters. You just need to be patient.

Did the math just now, assuming altoholic ain’t lying: I’ve got a bit over 230k combined through all my characters. Some characters only have about 1000, but I’ve got 5 characters with over 30k badges each.

I’ve also bought all the toys, mounts and transmog. I could max out all my heirlooms but that seems wasteful.

Might as well upgrade them. Or at least send over the rep tokens to alts of other other types you are wanting mogs/unlearned recipes.

Really wish I had the patience to have as many as you. I got all the toys, mounts and unique vendor mogs. However I would like to actually be truly complete with the currency just for metaprogression sake.

It will be the brown Worgen racial horse with a slightly shorter tail and the bee will be a super detailed Zandilari armourd bee.

Easiest way to do this is to do the quest each time it is up for 500 badges.

I done and am still doing this until I get every Legion paragon mount, then I will keep doing it and saving because BFA TW, more rep needed, more mounts, more mogs, and then I will save a bit for SL, but hopefully I get my last 2 Legion paragon mounts and can take a break from TW for a little bit.

I wish currency and crafting mats were account bound. It’s an amazing QOL feature in SWTOR.
