It doesn’t. The numbers were like that for simplicity. You’re still literally fixated on trying to do mental gymnastics on “1 tank per run” when that’s literally a non-factor.
No, fewer tanks mean there are less tanks doing more of the runs. You would literally see that reflected in the statistics. I just showed you how.
I think this is the crux of your misunderstanding. Fewer tanks means fewer runs. When tanks finish their weekly goals whether it’s 1, 4, 8, whatever it is, they just stop. They don’t keep going because there are more groups in the group finder.
Look at this again. See the minor difference? It shows that there is a slight change in tank population ratio, but not in any statistically significant way.
This shows you that there are more keys being run now than in DF S3. Not less.
Historically S3 or S4 outperforms S1 in BFA and SL. DF was the odd one out where S1 out performed S3. So, no, it’s not really sad. Again, the numbers tell a different story than your confirmation bias based on anecdotes and feelings.
No, it’s literally you who isn’t getting it. The fact that you mentioned group ratio and saying that there’s always a tank in the run is proof that you don’t comprehend this.
If we look at DF S4 and apply the same formula we get 2.92. If your argument was right then it wouldn’t be off by .12 when the gap between DF S3 and TWW S1 is .02.
In DF S3 each tank ran ~161 keys in the season on average.
TWW S1 each tank ran ~93 keys in the season on average.
This actually points to there being more tanks, not less.
Kaercha is correct on the data. Sosari, I get what you’re saying, but you’re making an assumption that a reduced number of tanks will increase their playtime doing M+ because there are less tanks around. That is simply a bad assumption. It is likely to be the opposite, as you will be in more demand as a tank, are likely to get your runs done quicker, and will need LESS runs to complete what you want out of a week.
Also, the increased amount of runs this season are likely a result of the start of the season being quite hopeful, combined with the fact that people need way more crests to upgrade their gear. That change alone likely resulted in quite a larger % of runs being done purely for gilded crests.
Personally I think they should make much more sweeping changes to M+, but I’ve detailed that already enough times that I’m done repeating myself.
I’m sure Kaercha appreciates the constant bumping of his thread, but at this point you two are just arguing to argue and not getting anywhere.
He’s not. I even showed you the difference in DF S4 where it clearly dips.
This is the thing. I’m not assuming there are less tanks. That’s what Kaercha is trying to argue. I’m the one saying that there is no meaningful change in the tank population in relation to the M+ population.
The number show exactly what I’ve been arguing. There is no drop in tank population “because of tank tuning”.
I like the proposal to address both roles.
If you only buff tanks, you’ll see an influx of reckless tanks ruining the lives of everyone else.
If you only buff healers, you will bore them, or increase toxicity towards them when they do mess up or cant handle damage spikes.
Balancing roles really needs to be done so that everyone in a group feels like they’re contributing and interdependent on everyone else in the group.
In a season, where as I explained, the numbers of runs should have gone up considerably compared to previous seasons, the numbers have not gone up, but rather gone down.
You see that as there being the same amount of tanks.
(Scatter Plot of Average Daily Keys Completed per Season)
What what now? DF S1 was the outlier here. Aside from that this season is doing very well. This is also considering previous +2-11 keys are no longer counted since they were absorbed into M0.
