That’s it, that’s the whole suggestion.
I propose 5 servers be opened, like Normal, RP, etc.
And then make the stipulation for these servers the following:
- No WoW Tokens
- You cannot transfer characters to this server (this never changes)
- The LFG Tool only finds groups within the server, meaning in order to do contact you need to interact with other people on your server, thus encouraging guild play and friend play like in Classic
- Characters on these servers cannot be Boosted.
That’s it.
I have nothing more to add. I feel like servers with these rules in place would allow for a player-driven economy not inflated ridiculously by WoW Tokens, it would encourage guilds and friends to play together in order to do content, and it would mean that people who grief others or ninja loot or whatever other things players do to tick other players off would ruin a person’s in-server reputation which would mean they’d be punished by no longer being invited to content, as is the will of the universe.
Bonus points if just one of those servers also doesn’t allow the use of addons in any way just cause I think it’d be a neat way to let Blizzard know just how reliant people have become on addons, and would clue Blizzard in to what needs to be improved in the game itself to reduce addon reliance.
Thassit.
I don’t read comments on my posts because people 'round here tend to be pretty toxic for lack of better words so I’m just gonna tip my cool witch hat and fly away see ya.

I thought you don’t read comments to your thread?

So, you do, in fact, read the comments on your thread. And directly respond to them.

The whole point of merging servers is so low pop servers can still do stuff with others. This proposal would completely defeat that purpose.
The amount of people who care enough about this to join such a server is so low that getting a group would be a struggle. For that reason alone, it would never work.

No one was toxic— but you are being antagonistic. They simply reacted to your illogical comment.
If you didn’t plan to discuss or want anyone else’s opinion, then you should have used the in game feedback option.

Tell that to WoW Classic.
What Discord server are you spending time in where you’re getting regular RMT adverts?
Trade chat on Moon Guard. They’re spamming all day for Ferakk runs and when you whisper them they give you a Discord name to contact them so they can discuss the USD PayPal cost.

It’s embarrassing to post nonsense like “I don’t read comments on my posts” then get upset and call people toxic for calling you out.
Like what even.

No, that’s an RMT boost. I’m talking about bots that farm items and sell gold ruinning what you believe will be a “player-driven economy”. It doesn’t happen and we have years of Classic to show us this.

Report them and move on. They will get banned. They use throw away accounts.

So, you’re not getting them on Discord. You’re responding to obvious RMT guys and getting the expected response. The proper course of action is to report them and move on.

“Illogical comment” lmao.
“Hey Blizzard it’d be cool to see servers without the WoW Token”
“THAT’S ILLOGICAL”
Are you 100% sure you know what that word means, man? Just trying to help out here. I think “Generally disagreeable by WoW Forum users who worship the WoW Token because mom’s plastic is a better way to play the game than actually playing the game is” is a better descriptor.
On top of that the usual Boosters that sell boosts for in game gold use /4 Services channel because its allowed there. Boosting Advertisement in Trade chat is banable.

“They use throw away accounts.”
Meaning they can easily come back and the problem isn’t solved.
Services chat is meant exactly for that. Turn it off. If it’s in normal trade chat, then report it.
Abd again, if you didn’t want to discuss, then you should have used the in game feedback option.
Yet here you are…
Yes. Posting this on a public forum meant for discussion is illogical:
Yet you keep coming at people with hostility.

What problem? They break ToS, buy a new account, rinse and repeat. Good market model for Blizzard.
