Suggestion: Make Loot-Trading Toggleable

(title) so that it can't be abused in PUG dungeons and raids--assuming that players will be good enough to PUG classic raids. A forced universal loot-trading system will probably lead to a lot of issues in a non-LFD environment.

With this option, guild groups and other types of parties that share some mutual interests can prevent the loot problems (that the system was designed for) from occurring, while other parties can avoid abuse of the system by disabling it.

That's an interesting suggestion, but I don't think I'd like being spammed by windows asking me to approve or reject a trade. Then there's also the case where someone goes AFK. A bit impractical at a first glance imo.

That's an interesting suggestion, but I don't think I'd like being spammed by windows asking me to approve or reject a trade. Then there's also the case where someone goes AFK or decides he wants to independently boycott the decision. A bit impractical at a first glance imo.

First point: this is vanilla, if a player decides to boycott the decision they will damage their reputation.

second point: the spamming window thing could have a 5 minute timer. TBH i doubt any sort of loot trading will be attempted with this system, afterall, if you ask your friend to roll on the item with you for a better chance,

and he wins, you would just be shooting yourself in the foot, because the other people rolling on it will never let you try to trade the item they wanted to someone else, would you?

If you think people are going to stay in a party and let the person who won the item ask for the item to be traded every 5 minutes knowing what they are doing, i doubt you'd stay in the party.

but again, this would probably not even be attempted, because you damage your reputation and none who needed the item gets it. All you did was reduce your own chance of winning the roll.

I see. What do you think of my suggestion? It's not a very developed suggestion, but I think it's on the right track; it could benefit from some public input. Nobody's remarked on it.

this is just a terrible suggestion because there are SO many ways that it can go wrong.. the more complicated the system the easier it is to mess up.
