Let us join multiple guild but with only one guild allowed to be active at a time.

Blizzard will never allow this.
They regret allowing guilds to begin with.
Yes, lets be just as creative as ESO by allowing multi guilds. Where on earth did wow’s original idea of a guild go? In retail, you can already do that—join communities while staying in your guild…
I’m actually thinking of Guild Wars 2. This isn’t a bad idea if you think about it. You can raid in one guild while being in a friends guild at the same time.

I believe they have this as far as they are willing to go when they gave us communities.
As a guild leader, I’m looking for commitment to the guild, so I’m not truly interested off the bat in taking in a member that belongs to another guild on that character that will be in my guild. Can’t see the upside to that. It can be enough trouble with alts in other guilds.

FFXI had a system that was like this and it was fine. I think people assume that if you can be in multiple guilds you’ll be less committed to any of them, but I was tighter with my FFXI linkshell (i.e., guild) than with any WoW guild I was ever in
How do people even use these or look for these? I think I’ve searched them before but they were always full or inactive… can’t recall
Just let people be in multiple guilds, I don’t think the one guild active at a time thing would makeany difference to the current system with communities. It would help players who enjoy different avenues of the game, they could join a PvP guild, a mythic raiding guild, and an RP guild.
GW2 lets you join multiple guild BUT you can only have one guild tag active at a time.
There already are groups like that. Search for perky pugs, I ran a few raids with them in bfa and they are great. It’s not a guild, just a community.
No, this weakens the idea of guilds even more. Join some discords and communities.
Why though? Guilds have discord’s. Just join them and stay tagged to the other.
