There should be tutorials for the basics of WoW PvP like the ones that exist for other parts of the game.
Imagine the Exile’s Reach NPC in Nagrand Arena yelling at you to “Stun the enemy when you use your high damage abilities so they can’t escape!” or “Your enemy is about to do increased damage! Use your defensive abilities to protect yourself and your allies!”
Healers could hear points like “Your enemies are doing increased damage! Stay far from the fight to keep yourself safe, and use your more powerful healing abilities!” and “Your allies are ready to do high damage! Push toward the enemy healer and use your control abilities to disable them!”
This isn’t always obvious, but the growth market for WoW PvP isn’t people who play other PvP games, or even people who play other games — it’s people who play WoW but don’t currently PvP. Unlike other gamers, WoW players are already familiar with needing fifty key binds and a suite of add-ons to play the game effectively. What PvP needs to grow is features that streamline the process for non-PvP WoW players to get into it.
PvP is such a rich, engaging part of the game, and WoW as a whole would be so much better if it were more accessible for all players to explore.
