Minor Glyph Idea:
Glyph of Primal Ascendance
Your Ascendant form now takes on a more primal form.
We shamans deserve an update to the placeholder Ascendance form we’ve been stuck with.
Please develop a new minor glyph for the new patch to take on a form like an ascended primalist.
We have canonical ascended NPCs like the primalist Kurog Grimtotem, they can easily slap up a simple glowy version of our characters, similar to the previous glyph they took away “Glyph of Ascendance” from 6.2

So many good options for Ascendance in DF…. A smaller version of the Dathea Ascendance form would be incredible.
Dude it is ridiculous that they never brought the glyph back. I don’t buy into all the “Shaman is forgotten” stuff I see in these forums. But this one thing almost makes it feel that way sometimes. Like, Warlock gets their Pets not just updated but given a barbershop option while we are stuck looking like a pixelated turd on the ps2?

I still can’t believe they removed the glyphs with zero explanation.
Don’t tell me it was because Ascendance became a talent because moonkin form is also a talent and never lost its glyph.
Eeh I can kind of understand that excuse in a small regard at the time. I vaguely remember an issue with a Warrior glyph when I dabbled in that class in Legion. Something about Arms could use the glyph but not Fury because the ability was baseline for Arms but a talent for Fury (or something to that tune. It’s been a long time I don’t remember the full details)
However that excuse no longer holds water as things like Glyph of Pebbles works fine in Dragonflight even though Earth Ele is no longer baseline and you can opt to not even take the rocky boy.
It’s time Blizz. Glyph of Asc, bring it back

While we’re at it add more Ghost Wolf glyphs, at least one for the animal each shaman race connects to best. There’s already wolf for orc, raptor for troll, and fox for vulpera, so we just need some more.
Tauren: Plainstrider (or Kodo but that might be too big)
Pandaren: Turtle
Zandalari: Ravasaur
Dwarf: Ram
Draenai: Goat (or moth I guess, but goat would be funny)

The new skyfury icon looks like the dathea model people usually bring up when talking about new asc visuals.

I have a wild theory that the reason we’ve seen no change is that the person who made the twllight ascendent model has a lot of influence and refuses to let anyone change it …

Yes. Ascendance is ugly and old. So so many of these posts but honestly, keep them coming.

I imagine there’s some interplay of it’s a talent, it’s multiple different spells posing in the trench coat of a single name.
BUT
If they just completely gave us Dathea styled Shaman inside of an Elemental revamps, I’m sure we would call that a renovation
Ascendance is probably the ugliest looking skill since the shaman pancake. I’m genuinely surprised with all the new skills and animations it didn’t get a pass over. I feel like the glyph returning would be a huge plus at the very least.
PLEASE. I hate hate hate the ascendance form, especially since its become more and more obligatory in many builds across specs. PLZ blizzard give us an option for a glyph that lets me still see my character, I don’t care if it’s a simple glow effect. I just don’t want to look like a cataclysm mob lol
Honestly they should give us the option to use our soul shapes from SL as the ghost wolf. Models are already done and fit spirit theme without being that painful neon blue the raptor and vulpin have.
