Guild banks would be nice. Without the bank, a guild is just a group of people sharing a chat channel and pretending ranks matter.
Adding in training dummies in major cities is solid as well. There’s no reason not to add them.
I don’t see a benefit to the other items and the multi-spec eats away the classic part of hardcore. Respecccing is an option and maintains the feel of classic.
Any quality of life improvements will be frowned upon by the gatekeepers on this forum. However, after the QOL improvements make it to the game, the gatekeepers will be quiet. A prime example is RDF for wrath of the lich king. The gatekeepers claimed everything bad will happen with RDF, that RDF was a Cataclysm feature, groups will no longer be allowed, everyone will quit, and RDF will never be in Wrath Classic. Their predictions were all wrong.
Most stop trying to prevent a thing once it has happened It’s only natural. I think I’m one of the select few still trying to have “QoL” changes removed from game. The rest has resigned, as have I on a few of them that does not hugely either ruin gameplay or immersion.
But the time to fight “QoL” is BEFORE they’re implemented, not after!
And please on a sidenote, tell me where is the “gatekeeping” in me wanting people to not be able to mount onboard ships, FP markers in minimap removed, carets in minimap removed, old UI back … and all the eleventy-something unnecessary changes (Un-QoL) that Blizz brought into this game?
RDF is the singularly most stupid example, as it was in Wrath, when Wrath was actual content. It was implemented at the exact right time - just like first time around.
I get keeping gameplay mechanics unchanged, and if you really wanna be a purist and insist that the inconvenience of no guild banks or training dummies is part of the Classic experience okay, but what on earth is the opposition to barber shops? Those are just…fun. Being able to change up your hairstyle occasionally does not make the game less challenging or more convenient.
Seconding this on the barbershops, I really can’t understand what the opposition here is? Or is it just the whole idea of “where does it end if we start?”.
Had a character I leveled to 20 before realizing i hadn’t picked my preferred hairstyle. I get it, was totally my bad, but would it really hurt to have an npc to change hair/beards?
It’s probably all going to be a “nope” but my pet QoL for classic is bigger stack sizes.
I want to go adventuring with a stack of 20 healing potions. Not have stacks of 5 taking up 4 of my precious bag slots.
And I want my stackable gray trash drops to stack up to 20 as well, so I can make it to the vendor with them and trade them in for precious copper, instead of throwing them on the ground in desperation because “I can’t carry anymore”
