Suggestion: Azeroth Live – Real-Time Streams

Hello Blizzard Team,
I want to suggest a new feature for World of Warcraft: - Azeroth Live -
Imagine a platform (on the WoW website or YouTube) where players and non-players alike could watch live streams of real-time player moments from across Azeroth.

  • Live Streams *: Showcasing PvP battles, raids, RP events, and exploration.
  • Opt-In for Players *: Giving players the choice to share their gameplay.
  • Viewer Engagement *: Non-players could experience the game and be inspired to join.
  • Increased Visibility *: Organic marketing for expansions, events, and the game’s evolving world.

This could enhance community connection, increase engagement, and showcase the creativity and diversity of WoW players to the world.

i mean… why would people just not use twitch/kick/youtube?

Remember when you could spectate high ELO games of League of Legends directly from the client?

I used to ‘wake up’ to that before shuffling off to work. Then, gone never to return.

It probably get the “I don’t want to add pay ticks to them” folks riled up.

Eve has some people do this for some hot spots where chance of gank is high. they stage and just observe the area all the time.

Player/fan run thing. One chooses to either add to their view counts, or not.

OP, you and your ideas are living in 2025. Blizzard is living in 2005.

Mostly because twitch/kick/youtube are monetized and let’s be honest, a huge percentage of the people who do one if not all three aren’t authentic anymore if they have more than a hundred or so viewers and/or make decent money off it. <redacted…>

Simply put, not the same.

FF 11 had a live stream going on for 16 years. They pulled the plug from it at the start of the year.

Pretty much the reason was is aging game doesn’t cater as much attention, plus business expenses as someone has to oversee it / fix when needed.

WoW is an old game. It’s not like it’s attracting a ton of new players. At this point we got MMO / Games tourist.

Blizzard, in my honest player and paying subscriber opinion has better things to do over wasting money on live feed.

I hear you, but let me tell you, with everything that is going on in the world, a wow live stream would be a pleasant distraction. Anyway, i would watch it :slight_smile:
