Sudden Teleport to SW while Leveling

Good evening.

At about 7:12 PM CDT on 08/17/2025 I was sitting on this character in IF playing with Xmogs when I was suddenly transported to SW, at the base of the seps to the palace.

I had been running Timewalking dungeons before this, just leveling. The quest “A New Advert Awaits” offered and accepted somewhere between level 65 and 71. This wants you to return to Stormwind. I had turned 71 a few minutes before while in a dungeon. I was taking a short break updating my gear and making it pretty before I was suddenly transported.

The only interactive quest I have for teleporting at the moment is the one that wants me to meet Janina in Silithus.

Yes.

When you level past the upper limit of Chromie Time, you’re forcibly ejected and returned to your capital to pick up the quest to get you into the current expansion’s leveling campaign. Your last 9 or is 10 levels is always in the current expansion.

It’s worked this way at least as far back as BfA, to my recollection.
