I wanted to make this post to see if anyone could help me out for awhile now I’ve been playing world of Warcraft on a new pc and have been experiencing sudden fps drops out of nowhere and choppy gameplay it happens mostly when I’m around a lot of people especially killing a boss or raiding or when I’m in a major city mostly Dalaran, Oribos and storm wind oribos is the worst my set up is a nvidia GeForce rtx 3060 ti , amd ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core processor 8 GB ram I feel like these are good enough to run wow pretty well I have the setting bar set to 4 and have tried many things even put all setting to the lowest and still have fps drop and choppy if anyone could help I would be much appreciated

Using a gaming mouse? Check the polling rate. Too high can do that.

I’m on an older rig but am experiencing the same thing after the patch dropped. Before the patch, I’d get 100 fps regularly. Bumping for further info.
I get that but only in stormwind city mage portal tower. My pc build is really old though (2016). Started after 9.2 i think
Similar setup to you except 2016 versions lol
You should have a butter smooth game with those specs, try this.
- Reset everything to default - fullscren.
- Go to System setting and under graphics make sure that Vertical sync is enabled.
- Set graphics Quality to 7
- Go to advanced and Enable Max Foreground FPS & Target FPS
- Set these two FPS to your monitor refresh rate 60/75/144 etc

I went to my monitors refresh rate and it was set low set it to 120hz and it dramatically improved fps still choppy and lag sometimes but overall a lot better appreciate it
