Subtle hints at Dracthyr expanded?

Either blizzard doesn’t talk internally or are we getting more hints that either Dracthyr are getting melee options or another melee Evoker spec?

More data detailing Dracthyr as soldiers and wielding two handed melee weps

I believe they’ve said something to the effect of them planning to add more classes to dracthyr down the line. They for now want evokers only.

karate fighting dragons (monks)

“later down the line” means 2 years from now for the next expansion because lord knows they won’t give up any possible expansion features up for free like that. please look forward to it

Do the gladiator stance thing, except with a tier set. Then take it away next tier lmaoooo
It would be cool if one class had really complicated / heavily game altering tier set bonuses.

If you count them stating they want to expand the Dracthyr into other classes, then yes, very subtle.

That’s if they decide to give Dracthyr any new class options at all. They probably won’t be giving Dracthyr any new class options in 11.0 unless 11.0 is focused on “lore-based class unlocks” like say Paladins for all remaining races with their own starting area or something like that.

I think future class unlocks similar to Allied Race and Pandaren Death Knights may happen at some point.

Not saying i dont want additional classes for dracthyr. But staves are 2 handed and in wow they dont always look like a traditional staff.

Evokers can equip 2h swords, axes and maces.

I think to make the Evoker a “melee” spec is not a far stretch, azure strike and pyre in theory allows you to play like a ret paladin especially since essence burst is so similar to divine purpose the damage just isnt there atm, in my opinion if disinegrate was on a 10-20 second cooldown, they could buff pyre from the at time of writing this 81% to even like 100-125% spell dmg and give you a clean rotation while still mainitaning the priority system

I thought they were just going to be restricted to Evoker initially, then they’d open up other class options with a later patch or something. Finish asset creation like totems or whatever.
