Subscription question

Hello, I payed for a 1 month subscription on august 13th and then payed another 1 month subscription today on the 30th thinking that it would extend 1 more month on top of my last payment. It still says that I’m getting billed on September 13th. did I just pay extra money for nothing or will my subscription carry over an extra month?

Did they take the money yet?

If not, its probably because the current cycle hasn’t ended and will be charged on the 13th.

If you want the game time to be added instantly, its best to buy game time code from the shop and add it.

If the money was taken out of your bank, you might want to talk to Blizzard about it. If not, it is probably as Inviscerate said, but again, Blizzard would be able to help you with that.

Don’t use your CC or DC on Activisions B. Net account .
Go buy prepaid cards.
Much safer and less annoying when you wanna quit wow.

You didn’t pay extra money for nothing. You just extended your game time before the account expires. Your subscription billing dates don’t change because of a 1 time payment on top of your subscription. You could cancel your subscription right now and see what I say is correct because it’ll tell you when your gametime will end.

There is nothing unsafe about it… nothing blizz does is illegal or even hard to understand.

You can’t pay for another subscription month while the current one is still active.
A subscription is an automatic payment from credit card on the same day each month. The card does not get charged until that exact day. This continues automatically each month until you stop the subscription.

So if you started a subscription on Aug 13, the next charge on your card will be Sep 13th.

What do you mean by “payed another month subscription today”?
If you just bought a 30 days block of game time (not an automatic subscription), then that will push back your Sep 13th automatic charge to Oct 13th.

Check the customer service forum, but I think the way that works is they don’t charge and update your expiration for the next month until the current time on your sub expires.

I tried to find the info on the CS forum, but couldn’t. You would have better luck getting help by posting in the CS forums there than here in GD.

95% positive this isn’t correct. The billing date won’t be pushed back, but it does add the game time.

If the op wants his subscription billing date on the 30th, the best course would be just to cancel his subscription, let his game time expire, then start a new subscription on the day his account expires.

It is not in your agreement nor even legal that Blizz could change a 1 month subscription to a 6 month without your consent. That would be literal theft and super illegal. That’s not something a big company like Activision wants because the fines and lawsuits would be so not worth it. Stop scare mongering.

Until they auto bill you for 6 more months.

I think he means that he originally didn’t buy a recurring subscription that would automatically renew/charge, but rather he bought a one time, one month non-recurring amount of subscription time on August 13th, and then he just bought another one month, non-recurring amount of sub time.

As I said before, I think when you do that, the newest purchase doesn’t show as active until the old sub time is over. Either that or for some reason his most recent purchase failed.

Either way, GD isn’t the best way to get help. Posting in the CS forums or opening a ticket would work better.

If you don’t cancel your subscription before it renews, that’s on you, bud. That’s the whole point of a subscription.

You get five extra days each year with a subscription as opposed to just buying 30 days (or 60 days) game cards.

Subscription payments come the same day each month (on the 10th, for example), regardless of the length of the month (30 days, 31 days, 28 days, etc). So you make a total of 12 payments ($180 total) and get 365 days of time for the year.

With game cards you get a fixed number of days (30 or 60) so if you buy twelve 30 days cards ($180 total), you only get 360 days game time for the same price.

True, however , they do not send out reminders about it. Unlike the many other subscriptions services out there

And as a side note , with recent problems with lootboxes and such… Not saying blizzard does… yet.
Better to not have your info waiting for little TIMMY

What are you even going on about? First you suggest Blizz would illegally change your subscription model without your consent, then make vague statements like this. I’m no Blizz white knight, I’ve railed on them often enough in the past, but is you gotta lie to make a point, then your point if more often than not wrong.

Totally missed the reference… but good going

It should just apply the next month on September 13th, because that is when that first month expires.

I am pretty sure you are fine, but open a ticket in the customer support forum or in game and they can clarify your account status.
