Good morning, first of all, I apologize for my poor English, but I’ll try my best to be understood.
I’ve been waiting for this move from MS for a while now, but it seems like if no one comes here and talks, they won’t do anything about it. When are they going to include the World of Warcraft subscription in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate? Note that I’m talking about the subscription, not the game itself. Let’s be honest, it doesn’t make any sense for us to pay for two subscriptions for games from the same company now. Especially now that we’ve seen this considerable increase in the price of Game Pass Ultimate. I really don’t think it would cost MS anything to include the WoW subscription in Game Pass Ultimate.
Because World of Warcraft has a huge development team working on: Classic Plus, Classic Expansions, World of Warcraft Retail, World of Warcraft Remix variants. The amount of man power they put behind to keep this game pumping content is more than any game you will find on game pass.
All these devs have to get paid somehow and unless you want everything thrown onto the cash shop like transmogification tokens, housing plots, patches being dlc paid content on top of the game pass service which would see many people abandon the game, its just not worth it.
On top of that Microsoft just cut another thousand devs or and are pruning their gaming part of their company to add more budge to AI development believing that the gaming industry is just not profitable enough to maintain. Also you heavily underestimate human greed, these corporations like Microsoft would love to nickel and dime every penny away from you.
So I doubt it will ever come to game pass. The best you’ll get is a free trial on game pass if it ever comes to consoles or something.

I understand that, but mathematically it doesn’t make sense to keep both subscriptions. Now I pay $60 for GamePass Ultimate and $15 for the WoW subscription. So I’d rather just pay $15 for the WoW subscription and give up GamePass Ultimate. Wouldn’t that be a loss for MS? Because after this increase in the price of GamePass Ultimate without incorporating the WoW subscription, it doesn’t make sense to me.
I will gladly pay even a little bit more. $15.99, really $13.99 a month is nothing. Well worth the cost for the amazing amount of content.

It would be a loss for them as a customer from you, but what about all the people on wow who don’t use game pass, or all the people on game pass who dont want to play wow? I’m pretty sure they are looking at the bigger population.
I could be wrong, i’m no specialist when it comes to this stuff. But from what i have heard and seen this seems to the current stance.

People paying for Gamepass and WoW equals more money. 
People paying for just Gamepass? Less money😟

It depends on what you get out of the game. I’m a classic, MoP and retail Andy.
I won’t ever use gamepass, but I doubt they’ll make it a gamepass ultimate addon. They make too much from WoW to need to roll it into something else.

So wouldn’t it be more profitable for the company to make us WoW players feel more attracted to subscribing to the Ultimate Game Pass instead of just sticking with the WoW subscription?
What’s so attractive of paying $45 more?

If people had to pay $60 for the game pass to play wow i think many would just refuse to buy the game pass and give up on wow altogether, or go to private servers.

i’ll be honest myself. I’m pretty much burned out, if it wasn’t for legion remix i would of already unsubbed. As much as i love blood elves and quelthalas, excited for player housing, do i really wanna keep dishin out $15 for a game i barely touch? WoW is pretty much a social feature now for me. I log onto play with friends and talk to people and thats it, when i actually want to “game” i hop on steam and play games like helldivers 2.

For all the other benefits the service offers, besides the large number of games, I would happily pay for it. The problem is that it doesn’t make any sense to pay for both now after this increase.

That’s not what I said, if you want to keep paying then wow subscription can continue with it, what I said is to include it within the gamepass ultimate as an option for those who subscribe to the service

Ahh I’m at the opposite stage!
I delved solo for a bit and because my IRL friends have come back there’s a flurry of activity for me at the moment (keys, dungeons, some raiding). Then Legion Remix the coming week

Wait, so are you suggesting that they get rid of the separate sub entirely, or just also include it in the gamepass? Because if it is the former, that is a terrible idea. If it is the latter. well then they are prolly separate just for the reason that they can make more money (bundling it with gamepass would lose them a lot of money), and WoW is a separate game that currently doesn’t work on Xbox, etc.

So it would be the second option, because now with the increase in the price of the Game Pass Ultimate I will only have the WoW subscription, that is, they will only earn $15 from me instead of $60 if the WoW subscription was within the Game Pass Ultimate. And this is being a very big movement for them, so much so that yesterday their page crashed, due to the huge number of people canceling the service.
