There is so much QQ about sub meanwhile i just left a game where enhance literally killed me in his opening attack. My teammate saw him attack once with his cds and i died and had cheat death up. I am talking less than 1.5 seconds.
He doubled the damage of myself and my partner while healing himself to full twice.
But SUB is the only op spec. Oh my god.

this sounds like a git gud situation
that one is kinda a git gud situation, outside of chain harvest, its really easy to counter enhance burst
so while he was healing himself to full twice you werent attacking him and he wasn’t attacking you? He just looked over at you and said okay u die now blip.

what exactly should I do to counter this? I hit cloak/vanish immediately and was literally at cheat death/7% hp. Ridiculous. What is the super pro counter to this? Pre-evasion and cloak anticipating him using it?

Most rogues usually evasion my whole kit.
your class litterally counters my spec, if i don’t trinket your shadowblade/kyrian i am dead no matter if i have earth shield and healing from being in ghost wolf form and then i will flop once my wall is over
only way you can get one shotted by an enhance is if my chain harvest crits, an average chain harvest is 5k-6k and can crit for over 20k
and why waste evasion, once you pop ascendance, the rogue can just cloak, vanish after or simply blind and go back to stealth
I wasn’t anticipating being killed in less than one and a half seconds. My spriest was watching and calculated and i took around 40k~ damage in less than 1.5 seconds into cheat death. Come on now. And iirc enhance can do this from range because of ascendance.

three ret’s in this thread talking about “sub is op”. Yeah, ret is a SUPER balanced spec guys.
I just left a game where the ret bubbled my sap, went full mongo mode on my spriest with a bop’d windwalker with karma up and killed him in seconds. Yeah, bubble/wings/spamming requires r1 skill.
Try running elusiveness instead of cheat death
Atleast u can do something when you see him pop ascendance you have vanish blind smoke and cloak you can use if your at range. The core issue here is that your burst is guarenteed to kill someone every single time if they dont trinket when you run the 100% crit leggo. Enhance is pure rng when they pop it and they usually dont have you in a stun when they use it. There should be a stipulation on your 100% legendary where it removes your 100% crit buff if your first button out of stealth is cheapshot or kidney. You can still 1 shot some1 but atleast they dont need to use trinket on cheapshot and have a chance to save it for a kidney or blind
