I’d like to take this opportunity to say that I am truly happy about not having to suffer playing this game anymore

The pvp gearing is completely trash and blizzards incompetence is too much

This game is under 1 million subs now and that is truly a good thing. Maybe with the mass amount of people quitting this trash game will motivate changes foe the better. Maybe not. Not my concern.

Some parting thoughts before I leave;

  • pvp item level needs to be uniform with no rating requirements or ability to upgrade
  • master loot needs to make a return
  • Remove the requirement for Valor upgrades

My sub runs out in a couple days. Haven’t decided whether I’ll resub. The latest pvp gear changes is pushing me into letting my sub expire. Really stupid change that one since I relied on pvp for my pve content. So that change really screwed me over. Thanks blizz.

Unfortunately no. It takes several months of inactivity for Blizzard to release a name back to the wild.

That is one of the reasons it was changed. And people have been asking for this since it was removed in Warlords of Draenor, I think?

I think it takes at least 2 consecutive expacs for names to get released. So you’re talking around 3 or 4 years? And that’s assuming that person never logs in with any character at all otherwise it resets the clock.

Maybe. I don’t know the actual policy, I just know it takes months. And if you’re right, that’d be years.

But then again, there are some people on my ignore list I’ve ignored during BFA who are now a bunch of numbers so maybe it’s sooner than that.

Basically for those, like me, who use pvp as a means to an end rather than an end in and of itself, got screwed.
