Just got back on WoW after a good while and I have no idea how to play sub rogue. When I leveled up to 70, it was also my first time playing WoW so all I did was quests and spamming abilities without any concern for playing the sub rogue the way it’s meant to be played. I’ve been leveling a fury warrior and I understand its rotation pretty well (keep up enrage, whirlwind for aoe, prioritize bloodthirst or raging blow based on enrage, manage rage pool).
How does sub rogue play for single target pve and how good is it in pve relative to fury warrior? I am not looking to respec since I like the idea of subtlety more than outlaw or assassination

I use the Hekili add-on for all my DPS toons to help with rotation. It’s based off the rotations from Simulation Craft (Raidots), which in turn is based off each class discord’s subject matter experts which show up on Wowhead and Icy Veins class guides under rotation.
I’d never heard of this add-on before reading it as recommended in the Paladin class guide on Wowhead.
So it tells you what to press next? Doesn’t that kind of take the fun out of playing yourself?
after awhile you absorb the rotation and just work off muscle memory, the benefit is proportional to the effort you put in…
