I’m going to make a request upfront from everyone to ignore any rogue player who comes in here to gatekeep/tell me to go play DH without offering any help.
Now - I picked up rogue late into 8.3 and played Assassin like a lot of others. It quickly became my main, and I really enjoy the class and the more simple playstyle of Assassin.
It looks like Sub is going to be the go-to spec for SL, and I made the change last night. I’m a little lost with how to utilize all of the extra buffs and just the playstyle in general. It seems much more complicated yet more versatile compared to Sin.
Would anyone be willing to offer some advice or guidance on Sub? Point me to any resources? The basic rotations, utility, strategy, etc? Either for PvE or PvP or both.
I’m reading all I can find on it, but am always looking for different words and perspective from other players to learn.

Have you checked out the infectious rogue guides in youtube?
Another good place for information is the Rogue discord. The channels for each spec has pins that give a lot of good information.
Subs goal is to maximize FW uptime And keeping Rupture/SnD up while dumping the rest into eviscerate windows.

Yes - to start, how tf do I utilize the 3 cooldowns I have now? Shadow Dance, Symbols of Death, and Shadowblades? Do these happen all at once? Off CD?
Going from Vendetta to these 3 + SnD is making my head spin man 
That is pretty easy.
Symbols is lined up with Shadow dance.
As for using Shadowblades that depends on situational awareness.

You want to use dance when you have pooled energy so you can quickly dump energy into shadow strikes and eviscerates.
If possible before dancing try have rupture and SnD up but I’d you have to refresh it’s not game ending.
Treat dance the same way you would treat trying to pool energy to maximize envenom windows during toxic blade.
Like I said in another post I have two dance binds. One is macroed with symbols and the other is dance by itself. Pve wise it gives me the ability to save symbols if a priority mob is coming up before symbols would come off of cd and pvp wise it lets me choose when to use my stronger dance.
Shadow blades is subs vendetta. Try to use it on cd as long as the fight is going to let you maximize it.
I wouldn’t use it 5 seconds before the air phase of the final boss in motherlode for example.
