Feels bad man. Show us some love Blizz.
Why not play Outlaw?
Donât really enjoy the RNG aspect of roll the bones, although if I was planning on mythic raiding I would most certainly switch. Iâve finished raiding for this tier and will be focusing on PVP for the remainder of the patch, so Sub is still the way to go. I just think itâs a bit of a joke that the so called âsingle target specâ does less single target damage than the aoe/cleave spec.
I personally hate outlaw and have been playing sin over outlaw for raiding
Sub still has the better single target damage. Outlaw requires good rolls to outdo sub single target wise.
Itâs just easier to maintain one set of gear/soulbinds than two.
I agree, less sets to maintain the better. I have 2 leggos at the moment (PVE and PVP) and just getting those 2 alone was a significant time/gold commitment.
The rng of RTB is a major annoyance for me, really not a fan of how the random buffs work. In my opinion, Outlaw should never be doing more single target damage than Sub, just like Sub should never be doing more cleave/aoe than Outlaw. Thatâs just my $0.02, Iâve no idea how Blizzard want the specs to work, just how I feel things should be.
Consistently sub does out dps outlaw on single target.
I personally have 4 because I was waiting to see how the balancing act is.
Now here is a weird one, I donât swap to outlaw or assassination because I love subtlety⌠Iâve been waiting 2 years for this spec to not be dead so damn it Iâm gonna play it, and personally I can play sub better than I can any other rogue specs
EditPls donât look at my mythic logs, they kind suck, my heroics ones are whatâs popping XD
Same here, i prefer Combat way more
Hate the pirate theme of it on top of the RNG reliance of RtB
Roll the bones? More like roll the BORING.
The problem is that Sub completely lacks Cleave outside of a single DoT, and its combo generation isnt that high unless theres multiple targets, since you use Eviscerate during SD more than anything, so you usually dont have much time to apply it without severely dropping your dps.
Both Sin and Outlaw do better cause they do have reliable cleave.
Sub will continue to perform worse unless they REALLY buff its ST dmg which might not be the greatest idea, or fix the cleave issue.
Doesnât seem like thatâs true in practice in CN; the top logs on Artificer, Hungering, and Darkvein are all Outlaw. I think the only reason Sub wins on Shriekwing and Sludge is because they can quickly pump their full damage after downtime (where outlaw has to set up) and because they have burst for pillars on Sludge (and Outlaw doesnât).
I hate it when people use pirate/combat distaste as their reasoning. They can change nothing about outlaw right now and rename every ability to something generically rogue, then call it combat, and some people will instantly âlikeâ the spec more. Its the same dumb thing with the ambush/shadowstrike on sub.
I think an increase to Backstab and Black Powder damage would be a good start to help with the low damage outside of SD and the low AOE damage.
Nah, cause theres the stupid RtB ability which is hugely disliked and the guns they added to it.
The pirate theme was so absurd they actually had to tone it down.
Theres also animations to take into consideration.
be nice if they never took out âhemorrhageâ out of the spec.
tired of indie companies, they donât care about wow⌠money huh?
BFA 2.0 incoming
do not buff sub in pvp unless its a buff to all 3 rogues survivability.
Have you played it in PvP though? Itâs kind of obscene in PvP right now.
We were incredibly strong with a variety of comps pre-nerf, now weâre only S tier when paired with a Fire Mage. Compare that to Arms Warriors and WW Monks which have a whole variety of comps they can excel with, Rogues arenât game breaking like how some people claim they are. I mean yeah, weâre in a better state than Havoc DH, but that isnât saying much at the moment. I do hope Havoc is buffed though, Iâd like to make a DH alt.
