Been leveling a sub rogue on and off and it feels terrible dps and all. Outlaw feels fast paced and fun despite the RNG but I main Sin and it’s my fav spec. Does sub get great high level? Because althought it’s least fun right now I love the fantasy of being a master of the shadows.
Subtlety is unfortunately an unplayable disaster spec. Its a shame though because when they get sub right its by far the most fun and interesting spec
I dont think that.
Level and play mine in PVP as sub.
Sub leveling is more of 1 by 1 killing. Can dirt mobs in like 3-5 globals, sometime less.
ShadowStrike > nightblade > dance > strike > strike > evis
It’s pretty much a throwaway spec across the spectrum now. Granted sims are not the be all, end all for DPS projections, but sub is last by a huge margin.
but also in my and Sub’s defense…at times I like to be a teamplayer and play stunbot :p.
Used to do that in BC days when playing with friends in 3s as 3 rogues.
2 were more dps, I was more control
Sub is in a bad spot rn, but most of its damage as a spec revolves around your mastery, which is why it’s not very good at level and lack of aoe
Its terrible forleveling since the mob changes. When you could 2 shot mobs it was fun because you just teleport around super fast, but those days are gone
Sub is clunky, disjointed and slow for leveling. Save yourself the frustration and level as Outlaw instead.
Yeah I agree with the others. If you don’t have experience playing Rogue Sub is basically hard mode leveling wise.
Outlaw is like Fury-lite while Assassination is like the original Rogue playstyle with poisons and bleeds.
Maintain find weakness and nightblade at all times and use nightstalker/enveloping shadows for more dances.
You should be able to melt everything. Your aoe is irrelevant when leveling as mobs are so weak compared to your heirloom power.
If you aren’t using find weakness and maintaining nightblade on the target you’re gonna be losing lots of damage
