Stv? what am i missing?

i loved stv whenever i leveled a new toon back in the day

avoided it when i first started because i was on a pvp server and never got anything done

now, in classic, i play on a pve server but this weird place is no bueno

2 times the comp for mobs and nodes (since you cant kill other faction on pve)

there are too many players packed in and there is no way i want to do these quests though i love the nesimgwary quests- always have

i also like to grind but this is not the place

what am i missing?

The dynamic spawning seems to be really screwy if not outright designed to piss people the hell off.

In a cave by your self surrounded by mobs? Mobs will spawn right behind you every 3 seconds.

Outside with 10 other people trying to collect bandit nipples for that goblin fetish quest? The next mob will spawn in approximately 7-10 business days.

You are on a PvE server in STV, which is to say that you never actually entered STV in the first place. That’s the problem.

STV is a terrible zone with or without the PvP

I love STV, maybe a lot of others do too. I agree it is packed with people. Luckily I’m a little behind everyone so I haven’t had a huge problem.

STV is a PvP area. It’s a farce on PvE servers for the reasons you’re complaining about. It’s actually the best zone in the game, but you have to play without training wheels.

Honestly? Group up if it is a kill quest. Level elsewhere if you’re looking to grind, at least until people push through the STV level bracket. Mid-30s to mid-40s is a kind of bottleneck area. Only a couple zones work for it, and STV is the easiest for everyone to get to.

It’s a long walk for the Alliance and our outpost is up at the top of the map.

But the fact not many make the trek out there on a PvP server is worth it.

I love STV. SO much to do and most of it is just killing mobs.
