STV respawn suggestion + P2 has been a blast so far

Obviously the respawn mechanics in STV could use some more revision - wondering if it’s worth taking a leaf out of PUBG and other games that have similar small-group FFA skirmish?

Imagine you and your team die…you’re all ressed on top of one of a few alliance/horde flying battleships flying in different areas of STV. Jumping off gives you a goblin glider effect allowing you to chose the area you next engage in battle. You’re immune to damage and not allowed to use abilities until you land. (You have speed-up and dive abilities to get you back to the action faster if you wish).

In addition, any of your teammates can revive you by clicking on your corpse and casting for 10 sec out of combat.

I think this would be a fun fix to the respawn/debuff timer issues.

Whilst it’s been challenging as a melee and rune ability damage is overtuned I’m loving how hectic and alive the world PvP feels in STV. Also, whilst there are other things that need fixing/tuning overall Phase 2 has been a blast for me and my guild. Pre-questing, racing each other in 2 5-mans with friendly banter all the way to 40, getting the new runes, DTV mayhem and today experiencing the new raid has all been a lot of fun.

Keep up the good work and look forward to future patches

I haven’t played the STV event yet but I keep hearing about respawn issues and I suggest doing what Aion did. Aion was a great OwPvP-focused game. For rezzing aside from standard respawn points, they had kisks, which were placeable mobile res spots.

You had personal, group, raid (alliance) and guild (legion) kisks (aside from who could bind to these, they had increasingly higher amounts of rezzes on them and cost more to purchase). They allowed you to place them anywhere in the world for a set amount of ressurections over a 2 hour period. Came in a variety of colors/patterns to match the terrain. Could also be destroyed by the enemy faction.

Really adds another layer to OwPvP and helps with rez issues since they don’t know where you’re going to rez - but there’s good counterplay to that freedom as well since they can be destroyed. It was a consumable you could just hold in your bags, and you could have as many in your bags as you wanted, so if one was destroyed you’d put another one down somewhere else.
