Upon the announcement that STV will be a free for all I canceled my subscription immediately.
This is a big deal breaker for multiple people. 3 members of my guild have said this is it for them also… it pains me to be in this position because I have happy with every other change they made.
I am just one person so I don’t expect this to be changed for me but it will kill SoD.

Just don’t go to STV or opt out of the event.

I don’t want to opt out of the event. I play this game only for PvP and the teams have been defined for many years. It’s alliance vs horde, red vs blue, and I will not fight other alliance. The moment a member of my own factions attacks me I’m done with them.
It’s an optional pvp thing dog.
I’m more concerned about the toxicity that’ll happen when people on the same faction kill each other.
Blizzard is about to discover why the OG devs made it so the factions couldn’t communicate with each other.
You mean you’re about to discover a passive way for Blizzard to cut people out? Anyone you thinks this entire pvp event isn’t a form of passive player control through their behavior is asleep at the wheel.
You don’t have to police players if they willingly destroy themselves and get themselves in trouble.
If anything the FFA event in STV should be permanent but still able to be opted out of. 30min every 3hr is just horrible uptime.

Lots of really angry people shocked they got killed on a PVP server during a PVP event will be whispering people on their own factions some seriously vile things.
I think it’s stupid.
It ruins the immersion of having Horde vs Alliance on the server.
I want to kill alliance, not my fellow horde.
I don’t know why they’d do this. It was awful in TBC battlegrounds and it will be awful here.
But Ill still play it.
You haven’t voiced any concerns though. You just threw a temper tantrum and haven’t explained why. I can’t wait for the event at least it’s a pure PvP event instead of the PvE ashenvale one. A FFA concept is really good and if you have some actual concerns then list them.
Blizzard ask for the feedback. Yes I am going to talking about this for a few days actually. I started WoW in 04/05 and loved it until the end of wrath. I came back in 2019 and loved it less… the GDKP was bad. Edgemasters were 35,000 gold and my whole guild probably didn’t have that in the old days. A lot has changed that didn’t make me quit. This is a big deal to the core of this game.
So are you going to actually give any feedback? There has been zero feedback or discussions in this thread of any substance.
I will never understand how some people are soooooo into the game being horde vs alliance.
You have been able to arena against the same faction for like 15 years.
