STV Event Questions

I tried the event for a second time. The entire match pretty much consisted of corpse walks with two minute rez timer waits. Again. I know, I need to get gud. I don’t know how long you have to stay alive to reset that two minute wait but it really is brutal. I know it’s a thing in the open world but for an event like this where you’re dying every ten seconds to five man groups? C’mon. The problem I was having was with the amount of traffic. Once you die there’s never really a clear chance to rez with the amount of people running around. When you do finally get a tiny window to rez you’re coming out at 50% health and hp with mobs all around so it’s tough to get any sort of separation from the chaos to reset. The other alternative was to rez at the GY where people just ignore the debuff and kill you instantly. I think in part it’s because most of them are unaware that targets with the debuff do not grant blood, so maybe that will sort itself out as people catch on. During the thirty minute event I did manage to get quite a few hk’s but they were basically all attributed to fending off aggressive debuffed targets.

Anyways, in the end I had 4 blood at my peak and finished with a grand total of 0 at the end. I also spent FAR more time in spirit form waiting to rez than actually playing. I love PvP but the end result was pretty disappointing to say the least. But being a PvP fan I’m thankful for the event (good job Bliz) and I’ll definitely try it again. I think it has a lot of potential for sure. But for now, maybe solo is not the way to go if you’re hoping to gain any sort of reward at the end of the event.

Just completely revert the hotfix and blood moon will return to being the best PvP experience WoW has ever offered.

It’s 30 mins every 3 hours. The event shouldn’t have an opt-out option. I’m on PvE for sod btw :slightly_smiling_face:

Killing people with bloodless debuff should make you lose some of your blood imo it would incentivize people to use their brains and not just mindlessly camp spawn points.

If you want Blood but don’t like the PvP you could always resort to killing monsters and goblins. I grouped with 3 other level 32’s and we just killed goblins and the occasional player and got about 119 blood (near the end we got a bit sidetracked).

The only solution is to remove bloodless and remove loss of blood on death. That’s the only way this mode is gonna be solo and small team friendly.

The game was never meant to be played solo…

The hotfix is objectively terrible. Where the fights were chaotic and fun before with tons of rewards, now the fighting is picky and stupid.

Bloodless targets running at you and you get nothing for defending yourself. Less blood(due to the event slowing down as a result of the debuff) so now dying feels terrible. The debuff ENCOURAGES kill trading. It just all around made the event worse and I run 5 deep. I cant even imagine trying to do this event solo now. The event is terrible in its current state. Just revert the hotfix please and actually think of something instead of just taking it out back and shooting it like this.

This is exactly it. It’s not like you were incentivized to die before, but the repercussions being low encouraged you to take as many fights as possible, which is perfect for a WoW FFA.

Thanks for put a poop stain on a perfect zone. Why couldn’t you add this crud to arathi highlands and make it related to arathi basin?

I agree with this. I dont enjoy killing Alliance players. This event is lackluster.

100%. Arathi is mostly empty. Much better zone for this kind of event. Should have been faction pvp with most of the combat taking place between the two respective bases.

10 days seems like a gross exaggeration. I went in with a group of absolutely terrible randoms today and walked out with a silver coin. Need 5 silver coins to get the ring, so that’s 5 events. Not even a whole day.

Why is the wood not for sale at the vendor? I have the quest

How no1 saw this coming after the Ashenvale event is pretty amazing

Every WoW PvP activity follows that same formula. I’m glad they did something different, and it tracks logically within the lore and plays into RP very well. A red moon driven lunacy that drives brother to turn on brother is super cool.

In theory… yeah.

In practice? There’s a batch of 30-40 people just insta-gibbing everyone but not each other.

make a free for all event and then let people group?

That hasn’t been my experience. I imagine the community will do its part to ruin it as more people start doing it though.

Day 1 was tons of 1v1s and actual FFA skirmishes.
