There is a glaring issue with the event, it is not even close to being a free-for-all. This event consists of groups of five rushing down smaller groups and stacking coins.
I’ve done the event twice now and I see these groups having 150+ coins meanwhile anyone not in a group of five has a max of 20.
Don’t allow groups period, they ruin the event.
People will still be in Discord and coordinate with each other to focus their efforts on stragglers and not attack each other.
This. It was doomed from the start. Make an actual FFA event. Not this.
People as a whole will always take the path of least resistance.
And what is most advantageous.
It was obvious being in a 5man squad was going to be optimal as you are playing versus actual players not the computer so taking every advantage is worthwhile.
On the plus side at least it wasn’t open to massive zerg raids which would have been far worse. This is easily the lesser evil.
FFA PVP only benefits a select number of classes. Either you’re one of them or you’re a free kill. I’ll never understand why people want this in one of the most unbalanced MMOs ever created.
The SoD team is absolutely delusional when it comes to PvP. We’ve seen it with Ashenvale, we’ve seen it with WSG premades, and now we’re seeing it YET AGAIN. This is shameful. Poorly thought out and lukewarm content like this shouldn’t be the future.

Whoever called this a “FFA” event and then allowed groups is a complete moron.
They still have to use aoe abilities or they’re not going to win. Being in discord wont work.
5 man teams is literally the design of the event. Like what the devs were planning when they made it.
You can just do /2 LFG STV pvp
And then you too are part of a 5 man.
No heals in your group? No problem! Healing in p2 is worthless and futile, heals barely move bars
Its fine as is. Form a group and join the chaos.
Vanilla is always a pvp game first. The entire point of raiding was to get gear to pvp in. That’s it. Nothing will change that fact. Active players spent most their time pvping.
This right here, when you are done with your sub 1 hour gnomer and having to do the entire week, pvp becomes the priority.
or you know, you could have fun with other classes because who only ever plays 1 class and/or only raids on 1 class? Part time players?
