Maybe if the event was fun but its a crappy attempt and the only reason people are here is for rewards. Its worse than ashenvale
Funny. People I did it with earlier said it was better than Ashenvale.
Not better, just different.
This was has PVP, Ashenvale’s “PVP event” didn’t really have any PVP.
It’s pretty fun to group up with guildies and do this, imo.
Though, if I played a healer, didn’t have a guild or friends, and didn’t like grouping, I might hate it.
I think that’s one of the big complaints. They specifically said raid groups would be punished to try to get murder hobo parties and 1 v 1 happening naturally and it’s turned into 2019 AV 2.0
The appeal (from what I’ve been reading) was small group and solo PVP event. Close to a FFA. This ain’t it.
It’s wild how many mistakes they’ve made leading into p2. Teaser info came in way too late. P1 lasted so long it killed off a lot of the hype for p2. Now this train wreck pvp event
If you are primarily interested in PVE I can see why you’d believe that.
Friends and I have run across some groups that appear to be exploiting. We reported and killed them all. Especially those bringing shame on the Horde with their actions.
thats because everyone HATES PvP except for 3 people. Most that claim to like it just want to gank, the rest hold their nose and force themselves to do it for the rewards - hating it the whole time
We did this in BC for the arena points and will till the game ends because PvP doesnt belong in an MMORPG
On a side note, I’ve watched a couple of videos on the Gnomer raid and have concerns, but I’m a slower leveler and won’t go in until prob next weekend. So we’ll see on that. Some of the mechanics seem a bit complex for the Classic audience again. So obviously they learned nothing from BFD.
Shocker there, I know.
I haven’t been in retail bgs in years, what do you mean? I hated that they turned av into a 5 minute race to the finish, is that what you’re talking about? That happened way before 2019 though
After Blizzard killed the raid grouping for AV, a Discord server was setup with AV numbers for people to hop into that channel and communicate as the 5 man or solo groups and still have the same benefits of a raid voice chat wise. Blizzard went so far as to remove the instance numbers from the BG listings because of this.
I’m 100% sure this is happening in some way or another now, guild Discords or other.
Voice communication makes the intent of an event like this pointless to even try to develop it, because people will still group in large numbers even if the game doesn’t “allow” it.
That’s dead wrong. The problem is that the devs genuinely do not understand where interest in PVP comes from in this franchise. A lot of us come from wc2 and wc3, we like seeing the horde and alliance butt heads in a large scale battle setting.
I want the war. I don’t want the lag. I want the big battles without the drawbacks that go along with big battles in this 20 year old game.
That’s not helpful.
Of course you are able to express opinion and I def support that though the “classic andy” thing is way overblown.
That isn’t even true in my experience with pve servers. Hyperbole isn’t necessary.
You literally just make a map with two spawn points at opposite ends for each faction and give them a reason to meet in the middle. This is all thats needed to make a pvp map.
Instead we get massive map running simulator with the most janky mechanics. A f2p server could have done better in 2 days.
i promise you it’s better than ashenvale.
losing as horde is better rep than winning without tagging 2 or 3 bosses.
If you want hold-holding PvE, friendship family Disney saccharine themes, go back to retail. You WILL compete against others to MAINTAIN the spirit of this game/an MMO. You cannot treat an MMO as a single player game. If you do, you’re gonna have a bad time. It sounds like you’re having a bad time. Rethink your view.
been seeing this a ton also guilds making multiple groups I’m not sure if they are using adds ons to avoid hitting each other but sitting between the rez point and tossing slows down and just free farming spawners 20 vs 5 maybe they are just using discord to coordinate… it’s supposed to be a FFA event not a 20 man lets scrit the rules of no raid group event lol 5 mans are fine…
most likely big macros to avoid targeting friendly “usernames” to avoid hitting each other blizz really needs to clean up the macro program too many cheaters in retail using broken play the game for you macros…
UI addons already shows people of the same guild around you in their nameplates so you already avoid them.
It would require to change everyone like anyone you see in Blood Moon is like a demon or a prey to kill, and you don’t see their names, forms, they all look the same.
Then yeah, I think it would be harder to have that happening.
I think there’s a difference in coordinated “Win Trading” and “Kill Trading” -
JUST MY OBSERVATION:
Kill trading is just like in the last 2-3 Mins everyone just has an FFA in the altar and I believe there is a debuff now.
Win trading is organized on the other side and has ill intent communication to earn MAX tender. Win trading should be reported. Kill trading; kind of unavoidable with a neutral pvp gamemode (no strictly Horde V Alli)
