I’m having some stuttering and low FPS issues with Nvidia driver 546.01 on a GeForce RTX 3070.
These issues are mostly in large player hubs such as Valdrakken and Dalaran but it also happens in some other areas too. I’ve tried messing with a whole bunch of graphic settings but nothing really seems to help.
Wondering if this issue is more widespread or perhaps it’s just my setup.
UPDATE: Rolling back to driver 537.58 and ENABLING vertical sync seems to have gotten rid of the stuttering for now. Hopefully it holds. Will be able to test more this weekend.
I rolled back to the previous driver but still having issues. I’ve spent more time in the last 2 days messing with drivers and settings than I have actually playing.
Guess I’ll just have to wait for Nvidia to patch this.
I had the same issue…I fixed my issue by going task manager and setting all affinities to wow.
Ctrl+Alt+Del (to open task manager).
Details on the left(in windows 11)
You can scroll the list for wow.exe or type wow in the search bar at the top.
Right click wow.exe, select “set affinity”
I clicked All processors, then ok
This fixed my audio being echoed, jagged gameplay with freezing/pausing…I was running this game smoothly only a couple weeks ago.
I looked but it’s already set to all processors. Thanks anyway, I appreciate the reply!
I rolled back to the previous driver. Not sure what version it was. It didn’t make a difference so I just went back to the newest one. Was it happening on both your cards? I’m trying to figure out if it’s the driver or something in my system.
I’m leaning towards driver because I’m getting a solid 120 fps in some areas, but some areas do get extremely stuttery and choppy.
I had the same issue when updating my graphics driver to 546. What worked for me → in game graphic options → Reset Defaults → Reset All → Then readjust to where you like your gfx settings. Hopefully works for you all as well.
Thanks! This is actually one of the first things I tried. Unfortunately no amount of messing with settings fixed the stuttering. Rolling the driver back was the only thing that worked. Game is running smooth again.
