Stuttering and low fps spikes in DF rested areas

Entering the Wingrest Embassy and running around various points in the camp causes stuttering (sometimes with normal fps and sometimes dropping to 15 fps and moves like a slideshow). At this point, my mouse starts stuttering all over the screen, as well, and is hard to control. This occurs entering the next rested area where you learn Dragonriding, too. I stopped there last night so can’t comment on future ones, but having serious concern for the major city, if so. Most areas in between are perfectly fine with no stuttering and 60fps, aside from elemental heavy areas, and some areas of the camp are fine. No addons are enabled, and the area is not very crowded when it occurs. It’s even worse than the 30fps I got in Oribos from the anima graphic. I’m not sure exactly what’s triggering this one, though.

As an aside, I notice this heavier lag occurs in the Org portal room since the second prepatch, mouse jumping included (this was not an issue anywhere prior for years). I used to have lag there in general, but the second prepatch made it worse. The anima and fog graphics that always caused lag in SL seemed to be worse, as well.

Is your internal drive an HDD or SSD?

It seems folks with HDD’s are having issues and have to resort in installing WoW on an external SSD.

I have an SSD, but thank you for that suggestion.

There’s also this: Dragonflight crashing computer

Thank you, I had commented on that thread already since I have the same computer and have had issues in other games as well, but I am on an older OS. I was not crashing in DF in particular last night, just experiencing the stuttering and FPS drops in the main rested areas, so wanted to make a separate thread for that.
