I was thinking about Micro$oft getting into gaming, and am wondering when that happened.
Was it with Halo?
Age of Empires was their first big hit. I still play it up to this day casually. I got 1 and 2 Definitive Editions, I do prefer the 1st one.

AoE4 is actually incredibly good as well
I bought it but it doesn’t really clique with me. I don’t like how you cannot use buildings to block or wall in it. But I am happy you enjoy it, I know it has a decent success too!
Their first video game was in the 80s with Flight Simulator.
They got into game tech with DirectX in the mid 90s.
Then the Xbox came along in 2001, iirc.

And I totally forgot Flight Simulator! 
When I was a kid, I had an old Atari computer, with this cool helicopter simulator on floppy disk. I think it was called Super Huey.
