So with the 100% exp boost student fodder isnt as appealing.
Any idea if we can save them for phase 3 or even phase 4 and if they will work past lvl 40. Has blizzard announced anything on this?

How is it not appealing? I used 4 fodder on my lock on tuesday when I hit 38 after walking around doing minor things to get ready for 40 and then yesterday, I ran cathedral once, hit 39. Turned in the quest for SM bosses, ran graveyard to try and get my QoL books and then used 3 more fodder during that time. Ran cath one more time and hit 40. On both my shaman and hunter, I had to run cath 3 times with the use of fodder to get one level.
As for saving them for phase 3 or 4, well this go two different ways, yes you can use them for the other phases or no, they won’t work beyond 40 after a hotfix and then they implement more discovery type of quest again like the sleeping bag or they do nothing.

someone told me the sleeping bag and fodder will not work at level 40, those are level 39 and below items.
With that being said, i deleted my sleeping bag as a hunter even 1 inventory space is very important
That was dumb lol. But i guess you can item restore.
There is this really cool feature called the bank though.
They work at 40 of course but they just give a bunch of health/mana instead.
Because lvling is fast af now if they can be saved for 40+ I’d rather do so. There is no point getting to 40 1 day quicker this late in the phase.
I am going to take a guess and say that in P3 it’ll be upgradeable to work to 50. So might want to hit that item restore just in case.
Can’t find anything either. I wish they’d just tell us. Deciding whether or not to spend 25 cumulative hours leveling and re-gearing another toon to have 8 of these to use in P3. I’m fine doing this, or not doing it… I’d just like to know.
I can just imagine the dev team having some sort of inside joke towards these types of concerns: “Well, they’ll just have to…discover…whether or not they will be usable in the next phase!” Sigh.

You get in total 160% rested XP with 8 of them, on top of the 100% exp you get.
Do the mat if you can, and thank me later.
Deleting it is not a smart idea, even at level 40 it has multiple uses, you can use it as a rested spot, so mages can use their scroll to teleport to you wherever you are, you can also put it down in order to have a spot to logout instantly, making it amazing for doing logout skips or having your entire group logout quickly to reset an instance.
