Stuck with no quest to progress campaign in shadowlands after using the “skip intro”

Unable to progress through shadowlands campaign after using the “skip intro” causes npc to not offer quest to continue. I’ve detailed everything that I did before encountering this bug/issue.

  1. Accepted shadowlands intro quest from Highlord Mograine in Valley of Strength in Org.
  2. Nazgrim gave an option to skip the maw intro and I selected this.
  3. After selecting the skip maw intro option I was teleported to Oribos in front of the Protector Captain.
  4. The Protector Captain doesn’t give me the quest to continue on through the campaign.
  5. The Protector Captain should be giving an option to select “Where am I? Have I escaped the Maw?” which is needed to continue on through the campaign.
  6. I looked at my quest log and it a checkmark next to Through the Shattered Sky , but Arrival in shadowlands is greyed out with no checkmark. The game thinks I never arrived!!

This is on my Lvl 80 Hunter that never stepped into shadowlands before reaching lvl 80.
This doesn’t happen to any of my other characters that actually didn’t take the “skip intro” and played through the maw intro.

Yep, happened to me on two characters! Both are freshly leveled level 80s who never set foot in Shadowlands before (not using the Oribos portal). I started the SL questline and selected the “skip Maw intro option”.

… Got ported to Oribos and did not get the Arrival in Shadowlands quest because mob did not spawn. Tried to walk around, teleport to Oribos through a portal, and log-off, nothing fixed the issue.

It seems like maybe it’s a phasing issue/bug that was introduced in the patch 11.0.5 Anniversary patch. If anyone else has this issue please report it here so we can get a Blue to run it up the chain of command to get it fixed.

I’m experiencing the same issue, had my level 80 priest and talked to the death knight in stormwind keep steps and selected the skip Maw option and go directly to Oribos. In Oribos, with trivial quests option on and not able to continue.

I’ve encountered this issue, using or not using the maw skip seems irrelevant to it but a low-level character is able to get the quest either way too. I suspect that it’s a mistake due to how they tried to address the threads of fate query, characters who would get the prompt instead of the quest seem to now receive neither.

On this post due to same issues. 89.99 to play newest expansion and run through old content and basically a paper weight of a character for older content

Exactly the same issue here, unable to start the quest at all. Dead chain. Do not pass go and do not collect $200.

Confirmed issue.

Leveled from 1-80. Tried both the SL skip and actually going through all of the starter quests.

Still stuck in Oribos next to the quest NPCs at the drop without an option to move on or skip.

Fun times.

Same issue. My support ticket and responses:

“I am softlocked out of playing shadowlands content due to a bug. Went to oribos on a character that hasn’t been before trying to do old raid content. For some reason, I was not stopped by the npc that offers the decision. Campaign is stuck at 1/2. There are no relevant npcs in Oribos: no covenants, flight master, etc. There is no access to the maw. Upon using a toy to teleport to ravendreth, I’m allowed to walk into the covenant hall despite not being aligned with them and there are NO NPCS.”

After a thorough reading of your ticket, I can see that you cannot skip the introduction of the Shadowlands campaign. I understand your situation, and I appreciate you bringing this to my attention.

I have reviewed your ticket and I would like to tell you that I also went through the same thing when I skipped the SL campaign with my holy paladin, I couldn’t do anything, I couldn’t continue with quests. So I started to investigate and I found this article in wowhead:

Also, you can spoke with Chromie to come back to normal time line and then jumped back to Shadowlands and this time ‘‘Stranfer is an Even Stranger Land’’ will appear automatically.

I recommend that you follow the advice of the people who have commented on this problem because they are very useful, it helped me and I am more than sure that it will also be very useful to overcome this inconvenience. “So unfortunately this isn’t a chromie issue, as this is on a max level character, specifically Hextex-Sargeras. I have NOT been given the option to skip the campaign. The npcs are in a “fighting stance” as if when you first get to oribos to select threads of fate or to do the normal campaign. There is NOTHING I can do to progress. Jumping into the maw stuns me and spits me back out, the first portal to the flight master room is unclickable ( the others work though). I skipped the inital maw campaign and now and the campaign is forever stuck on 1/2. There are NO NPCS in the covenant room, the pvp vendors, etc. There is the lfr guy and a few side quest givers, that’s pretty much it.”

Just adding my voice to the choir; leveled an Alt, popped over to SL to unlock the titles by choosing a Covenant but am stuck at portal location with no quest breadcrumbs etc :confused:
