Keep trying boys. After about 10 attempts, it DC’d me and now I am back in.

Same, it’s been almost an hour. I’ve tried a multitude of things as well. Guess I’ll go back to playing Fellowship.

Still having this issue. Is it realm-specific? I’ve got characters on Moon Guard and I know that realm was having issues earlier.

same or I get into the game and it crashes… I have repaired the game and it still does the same.

Also having this issue, stuck on black screen with ‘retrieving character list’ endlessly spinning

Still having this issue as of 3/3. Sigh

Same, same, same… oh so lame…

me too, what the heck! is there a fix for this?

same here – i was using the client fine about an hr and some ago, now i’m stuck on a black screen.

Same idk what to do lol, also the game super laggy

Unable to login as well on Area 52, sadly no update from Blizz on a fix…

yeah im on area 52

This happened to me 3 days ago after disconnecting in the middle of a raid due to internet problems. I have tried everything including uninstalling all programs/antivirus/internet protection and battle.net + wow and reinstalled after deleting the folders. I have also done the character stuck service. Nothing seems to work.

Yes Blizzard support was not helpful even though they claim they are and that it is a privilege for them to take my ticket …

Same issue here, deleted a character and boom. Black screen.

For anyone else here, i just did these steps and it resolved.

  1. Open WoW directory
  2. Delete WTF, Cache, Interface
  3. Open WoW

The game looked a bit buggy when i opened it, but it loaded after a few seconds.
