I got a message saying the World Server was down, that is the issue

Same, just wait until the set time for it to be done. Should work then.

Seconding this. For anyone who wasn’t aware, quite a few of us had this issue on Tuesday until about the time the maintenance window was due to be closed.

It seems to depend on what zone you logged off in. My warrior in Icecrown worked fine. Kaslain in SW is locked behind the loading screen boss.

OK, saw the maintenance message - from 10 to 11am EST today. Guess for some reason it loads to the character screen, but shouldn’t. Will wait until after 11 to log in.

I’m in now I restarted the client twice but it let me in

i was able to log onto characters parked in boralus and zuldazar. i haven’t brought any characters to SL content yet, and haven’t had any problems logging in since SL launch on Alexstraza/Terokkar realm cluster

Try login to a character not in Shadowlands. Shadowlands server might not be up. I just check, even the mobile app with character in Shadowlands is stuck. So enjoy playing non-Shadowland content for the time being.

I logged in, flew to new zone. Got there and it was stuck. I couldnt move. So I reloaded and now I am dead. Cant get on to recover my body with the World Servers Down.
