Stuck on arcane mage artifact quest

I tried to look this up on wowhead but searching on the quest by name did not bring up anything related for me. It appears there is no way to access the old guides through a search.

I am in the nexus, standing and looking at Aluneth, which is spawning “arcane projections”. There are 3 arcane bubbles in addition to the one which surrounds the artifact weapon.

My objectives are to place 3 “scrolls of Meitre”. I have no scrolls, and there is nothing to click. There is no way to get back to where I was before to see if I missed something there. But if I wasn’t done there the dragon shouldn’t have transported me up here.

Looking at the WoWhead comments, it looks like when you are standing in one of the bubbles a special action button should come up to let you use a scroll, it’s not something in your bags. So, make sure you don’t have any addons that could be interfering with the special button.

Better late than never but you have to ‘blink’ into the bubble and then the extra action button will appear.
