This is by far my most frequent reason for using Feign Death + Play Dead (the pet version) — the combat bug.
Whenever I’m in group and my group mates are stuck in combat… I’ve noticed that FD + PD does work to drop me out of combat — I just have to wait a few seconds!
But yeah, it’s a funny (as in strange) bug.
nothing like argoing a cockroach or something that is hiding behind a ledge or what ever and not being able find him, Legion was a bad place with all the rock layering for getting stuck in combat by a critter.
Sometimes killing a random mob gets rid of it or you have a critter aggroed or a mob someone else is fighting.
Regardless its a royal pain.
That would be great, but doesn’t always work because the npc’s are continually fighting and you are in the field as well like the assaults. So log out doesn’t work when you come back in.
And sometimes, it does not.
That’s true if one in the bunch or separate single critter is aggroed than it gets to a headache.
That’s why I listed other reasons
They need to make the Treessassin’s Guise work anywhere.
Fixed.

If we ever get bards, I hope they have an ability:
“Put up or shut up” (5s cast, drops combat)
scratch that, no need to wait for bards.
Stuck in combat bugs are a big reason why Shadowmeld is so important to me. Vanish on my rogue helps as well.
What about the toy that turns you into a mogu statue. You’re not even able to be targeted when you use that
