I had that same thing happen the other day and I ended up just doing a alt + F4 and coming back later.
Thatâs weird. I havenât experienced that as of yet myself. Only thing I can imagine is glitched mobs stuck in terrain that arenât dropping combat or something.
After leash range all things in combat should drop regardless of whether they can reach the leash or not.
There isnât anyway it could be aggro from those drones could it? I know they generally shouldnât target players not flying but itâs the only other thing I can think of outside of âitâs just plain brokenâ.
You swam around the entire island instead of just getting onto dry land on the main isle?
K
If you had read the post for context, youâd see that I stated I did it BOTH ways.
So, you
Why?
I do not believe the issue is the anti-air drones, or even the ones that do come down and engage. The anti-flight ones donât put you in combat, that I recall, not until they start shooting you at least. I have only been hit by that onceâŚand it let me fly right after I hit solid ground.
As for the smaller flyers that DO come down, I have yet to see one not die or return to its route. I do not believe it to be thisâŚbut I have been known to be wrong now and again.
I noticed this yesterday too, in the Western Spray area. I killed two gnomes that appeared to be hammers an overturned spider mount, only to find myself being hit by an un-hittable female gnome Pilot mob complete with squealing. Apparently trapped in the overturned mount?
I had to swim and walk all the way to the waterfall before combat dropped lol.
The self reliance azerite trait seemed to cause me to be stuck in combat in Mechagon. I had to manually right click it iff my buff bars, amf combat was instantly dropped. This happened several times, wven alt f4ing wouldnt fix it.
I have experienced this. Itâs quite annoying. Frequently, I can get out of combat by running a short distance away and then killing some random mob.
In THAT specific instance I started swimming along the coast but there are no ramps from the water, up onto land, that go for very far. And with most of those that existâŚyou canât make the jump without the additional speed from the mount. The southern route is NOT conducive to climbing on dry land.
The alternative route north, along the western side of the isle is more walker friendly, but as I said, then you have to hobble along every mob between Mawâs spawn and Rustbolt.
I opted to climb where I could, but I always ended up in water. The mountainâs geography doesnât give you much of a choice. I also hoped that IF I was in combat and the mobs were underground that they would pop through the wall as I got under the water line. No dice there, either.
Bubble does not drop aggro it just allows you to hearth while been beaten on.
I have gone 15 minutes. Note if you hearth back to drop combat you also lose your jet pack.
A few of us reported a issue with killing Rares a few days ago and it has not occurred since.
Feign Death FTW.
I hate you both. Lol. Nah, itâs just the jealousy talking. This would be a non-issue if I had an aggro-wipe mechanic.
Same thing happened to me the other day. Ended up having to die to get out of combat. Even logging into another character did not help me.
Yeah, for some reason DKâs just attract a lot of aggro.
Combat should auto drop after some period (20 seconds) of time without taking damage - period, full stop.
There is NO excuse for players being stuck in combat and unable to use a mount, taxi, etc for anywhere close to a minute.
They could also add something like a âstuck in combatâ help function, press it and the server starts a timer - if you donât take damage, combat drops.
Then donât pull all 18 at once. Why do DPS keep doing tank things, even in open world they do it.
I was on my healer at the time, but, yeahâŚmy DK does draw in some serious clouds of %#!@ lol
It does on my pally. Thatâs why I had to talent into pulling aggro when I popped it for group content. Unless it works differently outside?
Hearthing or using some sort of teleport (like death gate) always drops me from combat. If Iâm stuck for longer than a few minutes, I find that itâs faster to do that and then find my way back to whatever I was doing, rather than run around unable to mount.
